White knight 2 by Keenan The Pro

White Knight 2 is an RPG type game where you level up your character and upgrade to better armor and weapons to defeat the ending boss. This post it a tutorial for how to play it.

(The music playing when wondering around is the into to Stairway to heaven. The music during the boss battle is Kashmir. Both songs are written by Led zeppelin')

    *Shop*
The friendly A.I. in the living room of the player's house can sell or buy goods from the player using coins which are achieved from killing enemies.
-Note that items sell for less than they cost to buy, so be care-full not to buy something you do not need.
-The cost of the item, or the payment for selling an item is shown in green on the screen.

    *Enemies*
Enemies (boss not included) randomly attack the player as he/she is walking through certain terrain and each set of enemies has their own level difficulty, however the player can run from them at any time by using the "run" icon, or pressing "B".
-Easy difficulty: Cave animals (rat, bat, snake, scorpion) can be found east of your home.
-Medium difficulty: small woodland animals (owl, raccoon, fox, deer) can be found in the middle of the map.
-Hard difficulty: Large woodland animals (Wild dog, wolf, coyote, Bear) can be found in the north/west of your home.
Killing an enemy which is too power-full for you can kill you, but killing enemies which are too weak does not give you much XP, so it is recommended that you kill animals that are at your difficulty level. For example, Characters that are level 4 with swords and iron armor should kill hard difficulty enemies.
Killing enemies damages your health, but gives you XP, coin and sometimes a health kit.
Here is a list of all of the enemy stats:

    # Animal HP AP XP Coin

    1 owl 5 2 8 3-7
    2 raccoon 7 2 8 3-7
    3 fox 10 3 8 3-7
    4 deer 14 4 8 3-7

    5 rat 2 1 5 2-5
    6 bat 6 3 5 2-5
    7 snake 9 4 5 2-5
    8 scorpion 11 5 5 2-5

    9 wild dog 16 7 12 7-15
    10 wolf 19 9 12 7-15
    11 coyote 23 11 12 7-15
    12 bear 28 13 12 7-15

    13 Boss 50 20

    *Player*
The character levels up throughout the track, and for each level you gain, your character's total health increase.
When the player dies, the player's level is reset to 1 and their xp is set to 0, however
their items, jewels and coins are not lost. The boss's health is also refilled when the player is killed.
-Each level gives the player 3 health points and the players begins the game with 15
-Each set of armor decreases the amount of damage taken by enemies by 2, however
enemies do a minimum of 1 damage point.
-The player starts with 2 health kits

    *Health kits*
Health kits refill the players health. The player can not use a health kit if the health bar is full.
Health kits only heal the player until the players health set limit is reached, so it is a bad idea to use a large health kit when only a small amount of health is needed to be regenerated to reach the maximum health limit.
-Small health kits give the player 5 health points
-medium health kits give the player 10 health points
-large health kits give the player 15 health points

    *Weapons*
Weapons can be bought from the friendly A.I. in your home. Buying higher priced weapons and using them in battle causes more damage to enemies than lower priced weapons would normally.
-Attacking with fists does 2 damage
-Attacking with a knife does 5 damage
-Attacking with a sword does 7 damage
-Attacking with an axe does 10 damage

    *Jewels*
Jewels are needed to be collected to enter the boss's castle. There are four to collect: blue, red, orange and green. Each Jewel's position on the map is spawned randomly between 2 locations each to avoid memorization of their exact locations.
-The blue Jewel spawns in the northern/beach section of the map.
-The red Jewel spawns to the left of the character's house.
-The orange Jewel spawns in front of the Boss's castle.
-The Green Jewel spawns deep in the cave to the east.

good to see you made white knight 2 because it had/has alot of potential

and it is a great improvement because 1 lacked alot of gameplay

i'm liking the random enemy's( maybe it would be nice to have a visual representation onscreen during the fighting, i hope you find the complexity for it if you decide to make a 3th one, can just be a static screen, maybe slightly moving)

    i love the visual style

if you ever make a white knight 3 and i hope you do then i hope you find some more ways to add even more gameplay and replayability

the music was nice but as much as i like led zep it gets a bit repetitive after 20min

is it posible that gems are a bit bugged? because i think i collected red gem when it didn't show on my screen, i may have overwritten my replay though with a better run

^ he pretty much said it first

I love this game! The only issue I found was the red item being invisible, and, getting picky, the number 8 was confusing because of the small font.

Visual representation of enemies in #3 would be great, I'm sure some things might have to be sacrificed.

I liked the music, maybe go with something that isn't copy written next time. It might cost you a redlynx pick this time (hope not! )

You are awesome! Looking forward to whatever you do next!

Edit: oh, and I. Oticed when I died, my level reset to 1. Seems cruel since you count faults. I was playing on my first life for 15 minutes before I died. Might as well start over at that point.

Well when you die your items and coin do not reset. This means that if you have enough money for lets say, the axe for example (Or you have already bought the axe), you can use the axe to kill enemies faster and regain your level.

As for the song, I would have made the song longer if I could. However my complexity is maxed out and the song already uses 162 tool-cards (Not even including the ones used for Kashmir)

I know that there's some bugs in it, but I don't have the will to fix all of them. I've been working on this track for four weeks outside of school, and I was getting really tired of working on it. f you thing the song gets annoying after 20 minutes, try listening it for hours on end; play-testing for glitches!)

And I know this might be sort of an "excuse" to not make the game better, but keep in mind that i'm only 15 years old.

So what you are saying is you don't have a job or anything in school that is really hard so you have time to make more games?

Amazing! Can't wait to try this out when I get back to my Xbox next week.

Copyright shouldn't be a problem since he's not using the actual song, lol.

And Keenan, your age doesn't matter. You're a critical thinker and a good learner. Enough said.
