HqK I WraaTh HELP. New Q unanswered.

I will be using this thread to post all comments regarding building. If you can help it would be much appreciated. Thankyou very much

I have made a sliding pivot and need some help. I need to constantly add objects to my target 1 using the glue tool to do this. Everytime i glue a new object to the original target 1 the red arrow dissapears and i have to select and position the pivot again. Is there a way to glue objects to the target 1 without disrupting the pivot atall? Thanks

Re: Help with slider physics joint.

If the target one is moving, then you'll need to build it all and then target it. If its not moving, then just pick a target, dont add it to the glue group and the slider will work as normal.

If I understand your question correctly... Select the glued group of objects and there should be an option in the menu that says "select glued objects" or something. Use that to add more objects. Also, change the glue pivot to custom so it will stay in place.

ya when adding stuff to a glue group, always select the glue group FIRST else it will create a new group, loosing all your connections.

Re: Help with slider physics joint.

What i think you're asking is how to attach object to 'Target 1' while the game is in progress, without resetting the physics joint.

To that question, what I have done is to attach objects to 'Target 1' with physics joints. This does not reset the original joint. Then while the game is in progress, game logic will 'Enable' the second physics joint so that 'Target 1' is now made up of additional objects.

    Hope that helps.

Re: HqK I WraaTh HELP section

How do I create a object to possibly move in one direction, then turn and do something differently as in move in another direction. Also is it possible to glue or attach a soundsource to a physics object so i dont have to time an object to a sound source set off by an area. Thanks

I'll answer the second easier question first. Yes you can glue sound sources, it works the same way as gluing any other object you just select it as normal. You will however need to get a sound event and target the sound source before glueing, as you won't be able to select it afterwards (that's not entirely true, but this way is easier).

As for moving an object in one direction then changing it there are a few different ways of doing this and it depends what you need. Can you be more specific?

There is a link to tutorials in my signature where you will find one called "Moving an object in an irregular looping path". It's not quite what you asked for but you should be able to use the bits you need from it to make your object do what you need it to.

Embedding a youtube vid to this forum? That [youtube] ......[/youtube] doesnt want to work for me. Or does it not show the video on the preview page?

If it shows a black square, then you may have the wrong type of YT code. Match the quality of the vid to the code. So HD would be (youtubehd)....(/youtubehd) and so on. Other than that, just follow the info on the left hand side of the reply box......

    How to use Youtube bbcode:
Use only video code inside bbcode tags!
It won't work with full video URL. For example:

    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SdKS7AU0z0I

    (youtube320)SdKS7AU0z0I(/youtube320)

I put in parenthesis instead of square brackets so you could see the coding.
