The pipes on The Great Fire

    Afternoon all,

Apologies for the new thread but this obstacle is driving me mad! I just cannot for the life of me figure out a consistent way over the pipes.

I have probably run the track around 50 or so times, and the rest of it is no problem on the Banshee, but the pipes can and do hold me up for anywhere between 1 and 40 faults each time! I know that the first time I clear them without faulting will be my platinum, but I just can't seem to get the correct technique.

Also, I'm struggling to work out which bike this track was designed for as the pipes seem even more inconsistent on the Phoenix than they do on the Banshee....maybe that's just me. I'm going Banshee unless told otherwise purely due to it being released alongside RoD...

Please tell me I'm not the only one having trouble with this obstacle, and please, please could someone perhaps describe the best way to get over those damn pipes? If only so that my long-suffering missus doesn't have to listen to anymore of my forlorn mewlings of failure from next door.....

    Thanks in advance, folks.

    Dirt.

What I did was (with the Banshee):

Go backward until your back wheel is on the edge of the platform, rider leaning back. Then hit the gas and bunny hop to the platform. Hold back but don't bunny hop going from the platform to the first pipe, then backwheel bounce or just hold back while going over the first pipe depending on where you made it.

This is a pretty consistent method for me, hope it helps!

I feel your pain you are not alone lol! The pipes are a nightmare for sure! The best bike I believe though is the banshee for this one, I don't believe I have done it without faulting at least once, but I'm slowly getting better with it, its more of a back forward back forward back forward technique I believe, that's what's worked for me most of the time, if anyone does have some sequence for this I would love to hear

Thanks I'll give that a whirl after work...

There are only 2 ways to do it, the most consistent depends on you. Starting at checkpoint distance, drive forward and do a small bunny hop into the ramp, your two choices are hitting your front tire on the ramp(aim for the pipe decal on the ramp), then ride up leaning back and jump off the first pipe. 2nd option is taking the same approach, but instead only hitting your back tire on the ramp leaning back and riding up to the pipe. Never bunny hop off the ramp.

I'm currently in 13th on that track with the 250, which I think is the most consistent bike on that track(including the pipes), but if you're used to the banshee then stick with it.

Don't stress over not being able to consistently do it, everyone faults at it sometimes and I know some other top riders do as well, even me, Connz and HighDeff fault on it too
