Hi guys! So, i glue objects together then later on i try to select an object from the glued group and it wont let me! It always selects a different object. Ive always had this issue, so is there another way to select the object i want or a way to glue without this happening! Any help will be much appreciated!![]()
Hi Ben! Im using LB. Mostly pipes, primes and bricks give me this issue.Originally Posted by JaminBen007
I think I know what your trying to say. I have a problem with selecting the items I want if I have like a light flare or effect glued to other objects. The cursor wants to select the effect or light flare instead of the other objects. You can try selecting the items from different angles or sides, but if that isn't possible you may just have to move the items away from each other to be able to select them.
What exactly are you trying to do?
It's a bit fiddly but when that happens I have to remove them from the glue group, adjust them, and then glue it back again.
Like Crow said, it's most likely that another glued object is slightly in the way of the other and this is more prevalent when gluing effects etc...
But the object im selecting is nowhere near the item that gets selected. Its a carousel with many bricks and pipes, and when i select the object (prime) a pipe totally on the other side of the carousel is selected. So i delete the pipe and brick gets selected. Im using OPE so i cant test it unless these items are glued.
Mmm ok that sounds like a glitch. Does removing it from the glue group first help at all?
I wouldnt know since i cant select it.No worrys bud, ill work around it. I was just curiuos if there was a less glitchy way of glueing? Thanks for the help guys!

Have you tried unglueing everything and then regluing them? It does sound like it's glitching.
Group everything you DONT want in the group. Then select everything you do want using the area selctor. Then move the area slector over the (dont include" group and remove them from the selection. That should leave you with everything you want selected and you can glue them.
Unless thats not the issue you're specifically having of course and you're actually trying to move the prime or remove it from the glue group. In which case, its a case of getting in as close as you can to the prime (turn off the focus camera in editor settings for this), maybe even inside it and trying various angles to try and select it. You should be able to select it eventually all being well, but it will probably be really fiddly if its stuck in the middle of a bunch of other overlapping objects!
Hope thats of some help.
