    I'm not to sure what you mean here, im guessing you mean the standard checkpoint bleep when its activated? as far as i know, you cannot take the default sound away.. but to add sounds you open the properties of the checkpoint then 'select event/filter' and link it to your sounds logic, now when you pass that check point your sound will play

    If the layout of your track allows it I think you can place the checkpoint far enough away that you don't hear the sound, or mask the sound with a different one.

    One thing I did on one of my maps was I hid the checkpoint. You still knew if you passed it because you heard the beep but you couldn't see it. Just hide them behind things, in buildings, out of camera view!

    Is there not a disable sound on chk point option?

    ive built custom chk points but cant remember if i had to hide them or not

    but they can activate OPEs .. So you can make em do what ever you want

    for this one, maybe try make a large rusty door slam behind the rider? Make make for that feel of urgency?
    or has been said... Just play with it, see what happens
