    Re: Weird effect trigger glitch...

apologies if this is a dumb question to ask, but are you using the effect event to switch on the effect? and dumb question number 2, is there only one blue line targeting the effect?

Dumb question 3, are you using a checkpoint other than the first checkpoint? Cause the first checkpoint would reset everything. And yes ive done this before!

    It's not the first checkpoint.

I miss little details sometimes, but there is no way this isn't hooked up right.

    Re: Weird effect trigger glitch...

i've found that if you are testing a checkpoint area multiple times which trigger effects/events, those events/effects stay on because you triggered them too many times. so just be sure to disable them again before you move on or before you release the track. I always have this happen and always 'try' to remember which areas i have to disable events before releasing.

put an impulse clamp after the trigger
min imulse 1, max impulse 1, wait time 30min+ and probably it has a reset on checkpoint restart box too

Don't use ___event "toggle". I think this can also influence the bug a bit, especially with CPs.
