Controller rumble
Okay, I have several points in a new track I am building that have explosive effects.
How do I use the controller rumble to briefly shake (1 or 2 seconds max) at each point?
Thanx in advance for any input!

Re: Controller rumble
You can probably just use an area/hit trigger linked to an impulse trigger [set interval to 1/2 seconds and end at 2 impulses], linked to the rumble tag. I think this should make the controller shake. Haven't tried it yet tough

Re: Controller rumble
Probably area trigger to activate the rumble, to a delay filter set to however long you want, to a deactivate event. I'm not on right now, so I cant tell you the exact cards to use.

Thanx guys,
I tried both ways. Didn't work.
The thing is that I can't tie anything to the rumble card. I even tried having the delay filter tied to an effect event then the rumble card.

Tie the "enabled" box of the rumble to a variable data source set to 0. Use a set value event set to 1 to turn it on and a set value event set to 0 to turn it off?

Re: Controller rumble
Thanx barry. That does work!
I'll have to tool around with it to get the timing right. For testing purposes I just set up each SVE with its own trigger. I'll prolly end up using an impulse trigger to start and stop the rumble.
Thanx again for the help, I am learning!

Re: Controller rumble
You can take the event filter from the first sve, target a delay filter and use that to target the second sve. Then you can time the duration of the rumble more precisely hopefuully.
That logic (sve and vds) works for freezing the rider, visibility, enabling/disabling anything, changing the intensity of a light or effect. Loads of stuff.

Thanx yet again!
I'll keep that in mind when I get back to tweaking the effects. That is actually what I plan to do for the rumbles. Right now I am near the end of the construction phase, so I'm gonna finish there and then go back to where I want the rumbles added.
Keep an eye out for it, it's called Cliff 'Em All. I'll post in the tracks forum when I finish it.
