Stego111's Occasionally OK Tracks -Trains and Stuff

I decided to make this into an actual track thread since I have made a few now, and plan to make more. As everyone says feedback is always welcome. Enjoy!

    Trials:

    Track Name: Fog
    Difficulty: Medium
Notes: Took some time but I am really happy with the result. Made a couple death scenes. Also used OPE on a camera for the first time. This is by far the most yellow boxes ever seen in a track of mine. Thanks to Defoliator for the video.

    Track Name: Extreme Fog
    Difficulty: Extreme
Notes: Almost the same visually as its medium counterpart, just with harder obstacles. Thanks to Defoliator for the video.

Track Name: Wrkn for the Wknd
    Difficulty: Hard
Notes: First track in which I used OPE. And first track that I used a physics joint. Made myself some custom objects out of primes. It is a lot harder than it looks lol. Thanks to Defoliator for the video.

    Track Name: 120mc Invaders
    Difficulty: Medium
Notes: Pretty happy with what I did in the time limit. I forgot to put something if you go backwards off the start. I also couldn't figure out how to make the wall look not tiled. I just took primes and snapped them together. Didn't have time to make all the sounds I wanted at the end, but overall pretty pleased. Thanks to Defoliator for the video.

    Track Name: -30L- Pipe Gripe
    Difficulty: Hard
Notes: Made for ZeroFaults Macgyver building competition. I made this before I knew how to use snap to plane, so you can see lots of my pipes do not line up exactly. If you reverse off the start your bike goes up to 180% power and you can do the whole track really fast, but the time you take reversing makes it about even with doing the track normally. I was really happy with the end result at the time, but looking back I would have changed a couple things. Thanks to ZeroFault for the video.

    Track Name: Ruins of Yakitori
    Difficulty: Ninja
Notes: A really difficult track. Only passed by three people. Not that it is THAT hard, it is just not that good lol. I tried making the obstacles new and different, but they may have just ended up being frustrating. Thanks to Defoliator for the video.

    Track Name: Trains and Stuff
    Difficulty: Ninja
Notes: My attempt at making a level 1. I was really bored trying to make my CTC2 track so instead I whipped this track up in a couple hours. Only 4 obstacles. Enjoy!

    Skill Games:

    Track Name: Frigid Wheels
    Difficulty: Hard
Notes: First ever skill game I have ever created. Stay on the spinning wheel as long as you can while collecting coins. This started out as me just trying to figure out how scoring works for skill games but once I was happy with it I decided I may as well just decorate it a tiny bit and release it. I mean it's not like all my other tracks are gold lol. Oh and I am aware that once the wheel spins too fast the triangles grab your wheel. Couldn't fix it even with custom collisions. Maybe if I spun the wheel using physics instead of an OPE?

    Track Name: Frigid Wheels 1.1
    Difficulty: Hard
Notes: OK I learned my lesson. Do not upload anything at 4 in the morning. I made the wheel rotate with physics now which makes it a lot less glitchy. I also made the wheel cap out at a certain speed and time is now secondary scoring.

    Thanks!
Hey man....just played it I thought the scenery could use more details and if you spend more time on that kind of thing it can make a huge difference to the feel of the line as well. I wasnt a fan of the forklifts they look a bit blocky, but the ope stuff works well with the plane in the background man. The line is good and I think with a bit more work overall you will be all good, driving lines take skill to do well and this one was pretty good. I would give it 2* for scenery and 4* for the line. I rated it 4*! Look forward to more and also seeing what you come up with in 120 minutes

Thanks for the feedback! Honestly I am not sure if I could get the scenery any better. I just don't have an eye for that like you do. Being so inexperienced with the editor is difficult because I do not know what is actually available to me to use. I didn't even realize there was a generator until after I uploaded. I will try harder for my next track though!

Any time man. Maybe you could spend half hour and flick through the objects to get a good idea of what there is and how you could put them to use before your next build? My knowledge of the editor is minimal mate...you dont need extensive skills to make a great track, most of mine could be done in the lite editor

Since you are obviously a good rider you will have knowledge of the way the bike handles on different objects snd the line you put down was pretty good. Keep at it mate and dont sell yourself short
