Reinstalling doesn't help, port forwarding doesn't help, it's not a NAT issue or something with my ISP. I'm confused now

All I can think of a possibilty is if Uplay defaults to offline mode and the game is started directly from a shortcut, it will bypass the Uplay launch (still loads it in the background but will load offline for me as I set it that way), it does that for me at least since Uplay 3.

Got the game from Steam myself so it might work different from other sources.

Lenghty post coming up as soon as I've had some sleep. Kinda exhausted right now and you'll know why soon. Sorry for the hassle with the competition.

    Ok, where do I start...

Besides my trip to Rock the Beach in Helsinki, something else kept me from focusing on this competition and I believe you have the right to know.

My female friend has been living in an abusive marriage. It came to light on thursday that her husband had not been paying phone bills that she had been giving him money for and that he had been lying about it for 3 months. It gets worse, trust me. Me, two others and her went to the apartment to confront him about it ( she was afraid of confronting him alone without backup in the other room ) and she found out that he had not been paying ANY bills she gave her money for in over six months.

Naturally, she was upset about this and tried to get an answer from her husband on where all that money went (we're speaking thousands and thousands of dollars here) and he basically snapped. To cut this short, me and the other guy hid the two women in the bedroom and blocked the hallway with our bodies while waiting for the cops. During this time, her husband made an attempt on our lives with knives in hand. We all managed to avoid serious physical injury somehow and the cops were pretty fast at responding to the call so the situation calmed down fairly quickly.

Since then, I've been trying to hold my friends together mentally and help the abused wife move to a temporary apartment, have her mail forwarded, get her own phone service and figure out her immigration issues now that the marriage is about to be over. She's an american living in finland for the past two years (so she can't speak finnish yet) and she's also legally blind. There is no way for her to deal with any of this on her own so it seemed to fall on me to figure all this out.

I am home now and just had 13 hours of sleep from being exhausted. But, that said, now that I am home I am ready to hand out the prices as soon as Muscles sends me his scores.
    Check back soon.

    TL;DR: I've had a **** week, results soon

Damn, it's a shame people didn't submit entries for whatever reason they might had. And i see some creators in the list that could release really good stuff. Well, they still can, just not for this competition.

Anyway, good luck to the two contestants. I'll pray for you both.

EDIT: ?nquisitor, just take care of your friends and your life. The competition can wait or be ignored completely. Hope all goes well from now on.

Thanks, soad. I made a commitment when starting this comp though and I'm a man of my word. Letting go of the comp could be seen as trying to weasel myself out of handing the reward, too

Don't worry about the delays, real life is far more important then any game ever will be. And your situation sounds really harsh so take your time, I can only imagine how crazy it can be as I never been in such, I hope you and your friends are okay.

Recently I quit World of Warcraft (after playing it 8 years) 3 months ago when my first relationship with a girl broke up (we're good RL friends still)) so I'm really laid back on games.

To me Track competitions are about the fun and the satisfaction of having a common goal, and I hope some more comps will be held regardless of prices. Also the Motor Mayhem thing took a lot of the other builders time most likely, which imo was a great success for Red Lynx and Track Central seeing the last Red Lynx Picks are 6 PC tracks are of high quality.

This is my first Trials game and overall t's a nice mature community to come into after seeing so much complaining on other games, ofc this game has its bugs and flaws but still I see a lot of positive reactions and people helping eachother.

I've been slow on releasing more tracks as I've been a perfectionist and don't want to rush out anything, my current project will be a very themed hard or extreme track (still tweaking obstacles) and then likely some more straightforward Trials/Supercross tracks with easier themes or indoors.

I dunno how Bassline001 thinks about it but really I would have no problems with skipping a reward for this in case I won, and I wouldn't mind a round 2 with more entries on a new theme either as month of mayhem is over more people could be available.

The biggest reward is filling track central with quality content, until Fusion will come out which will be a while I'll keep building for Evo Gold as it's a great creative activity, and I hope the 2 DLC from xbox will still make it on pc in some form just for the objects and 2 more baseworlds to work with.

I agree, I have seen some harsh situations too and I totally understand the competition is delayed because of this. It's nice to see people helping each other out of these situations

Agreed, prices are not the most important in a competition. Altough it helps doing the extra effort for a track, it doesn't have to be too much.

Well, to be honest I was thinking this too for a while (since there where also only 2 tracks in the comp), but my selfish side took over and descided not to post my toughts. But since you mention it, I wouldn't mind dropping it either

I'll most definately hand out the prize, I'll just have to postpone it a bit until I get my financials back in order. It's been crazy but I'll make it worth the wait once I get the cash.
