    A question about repeating sounds

    Okay, I have an area trigger linked to an impulse splitter which activates a sound event, and a visibility event. The triggrer is set to disable after hit, and also reset after checkpoint restart is disabled. Both events are set to disable @ checkpoint restart as well. When I restart @ a nearby checkpoint, the sound keeps replaying, while the object controlled by the vis event is as I want. (stays visible after trigger hit) JFTR the trigger is placed after the checkpoint on the driving line.

    Is this an editor glitch?

    Just disable "reset in checkpoint restart" for the trigger & visiblility event only. Having the sound events not reset in CP restart means the events don't reset, therefore the sound doesn't reset and keeps playing.

    DOH!
    That didn't work. Not only was the sound still repeating after a CP restart, it also replayed again when I moved forward and hit the trigger again.

    Wazzup k! Loved the last track, ok so are you using a sound loop cause all you need is an interval trigger disable after 1 impulse set the duration to how long the sound plays. Add a state event to turn it on.

    You'll need to explain your setup more accurately, but if you have "reset in CP restart unchecked" for the trigger then the trigger should not be activating again unless you have "disable after hit" unchecked also.

    And the sound event "reset in CP restart" box should be checked.

    Sup Deadster? I figured it out. It's not a loop sound, just a single sound for a particular event.
    Thanx again for the help.

    to apdenton1; I did have the trig set up with both unchecked at first. I tried messin w/ the trig & event settings a bit from there. It worked out finally when I set the sound event to reset in checkpoint restart. I have another CP set up similarly, and was able to get that 1 working the way I want as well. (CP is the trig in that case) Both are working right now!

    I'm learning so please keep helpin me!
    I know I will have more questions in the future.
