    Re: emcee's 120 minute challenge

I'm not going to join this since I am on the pc, but I don't think it would be that smart to overload TC with 2h tracks (certainly not if you want to do this on a regular basis). There should be a small test group (or multiple) that tests the tracks after the deadline and do a vote. And best three tracks or so, can be shared with a tag in the name so everybody can find the tracks easily. Then there is a sort of 'prize' and the other people can still upload their track if they really want to, but without the tag ofcourse.

I just don't think many people (like me) will be able to build a descent track in 2 hours, not from scratch. There are already enough bad tracks as it is, I don't understand why you want to add like probably 40 bad tracks out of 50 (a wild guess) on a regular basis.

That said, maybe most of you guys can build nice tracks in 2hours. Don't mind my rambling then.

The way I see is there is enough trash on TC as it is, so doing this wouldn't be pushing any good tracks out of the way. And to be honest, it is just for fun in a game that is slowly losing its luster.

emcee's idea was to having TC more better tracks because it's dying out, and most of these track creators in this forum are good and fast at track creating, and fun of course like Luke said.

Probably best to use that concept on a full blown release mate I reckon...otherwise it will cause more questions. The bottom line of this event is you can lay your line then at the time the event starts you get 2 hours to do what you like. The beauty of it is that if an idea doesnt work or you cant get anything worthwile built....you dont have to release it as there is no pressure. I hope to run this event regularly, possibly monthly. Does that sound fair? Im just trying to keep it as relaxed as possible. Ill also try to post a list of times for the main locations, so far we have 8pm GMT and 2pm CST. I want this to accomodate as many people as humanly possible so please say whats best for all of you
what if you change that to 6 or 7 pm GMT and do it on saturday? Since the time in norway 8 pm GMT would be midnight, and it's just a tad bit late.

Yeah cristan im happy with that. 7pm is fine for me its really a case of what works best for everyone. Definitely a saturday.

And luke, blaster, nice one for understanding the point of all this. Its just a fun thing and TC is mostly underpants right now so who really cares if a few substandard tracks get releazed. Im willing to bet most of these guys who entered this will do better in 2 hours than what most of TC is showing anyway.

What the really cool part of this will be when all uploading at the SAME time, the entire new trials feed will change in an instant I would love to record a video of that (of course would be in the feed leave then come back to a whole new feed!

The best way to achieve this I think is make sure everyone is sitting on the "sure you wanna upload? screen where you press 'a' then watch the xbox time, and pick that exact moment.

i like the idea of us all sharing at an exact time set by xbox, i think this should be done, obviously some people may struggle to get the pre-run finished to be allowed to share in time but for most this should be fine if you set it say 10 mins after the building phase is finished

i do kinda feel sorry for any1 unaware of this who happens to try and share a track at the same time as us but if their track is instantly lost then they can always re-share the next day

    Re: emcee's 120 minute challenge

I am definately down for something like this. Do it on the weekend though (cause I work 3rd shift during the week so I wouldn't even be awake til 3-4pm) and I don't have a working cpu so I'm not sure if the webchat would work for me... if you have another way to make sure I'm starting and finishing with everyone it would be greatly appreciated. Sorry if this is a hassel. If I can't do it then I'd gladly help with the idea of testing and voting on best 3 if you do it.

so, is there a solid date for this? it was may 4th last time i checked.

can we mess with the environment too? or just build a drive line in the world.
just ask because i like to give a track a 'look', but i will leave it bland for the comp. if need be.
