Okay here's my situ...
I have a mini mock volcano that the rider will jump. There will be a trigger for a fire event if the rider jumps low. But if the rider jumps too low, I want the bike to explode.
Can this be done?

I think I am going to try that.Probably the easiest way.
Have an area trigger placed low that goes to an effect event that sets on an explosion effect and a separate area trigger placed anywhere above for the fire event.![]()
You could even use a physics joint and use point to point hard from the effect to the rider that way it will look as like the actually bike is exploding? And maybe for extra.. Do a bike detach to all areas on the bike so it goes into bits on explosion then to go even further.. Do a visibility event on your rider so he disappears THEN use the rising debris (set) effect so that it looks like your rider has crisped and died!

Heh, that seems a bit complex and no need for physics joints to make the bike explode wherever you want, use the brake event and target the bike. This doesn't look too great for a volcano setting tho as the explosion effect of the bike is quite small.Originally Posted by Hazard![]()

i would just use a trigger in the lowest part of the volcano set to a bike detachment event which is set to every part of your bike so your bike will come apart in pieces, when this happens the bike parts kind of just fall off and dont really look like they have been blown up so maybe have an explosion of some sort at the same time, a small ground explosion or something, and play about with the explosive properties to alter the force factor to find the best force for the best visual.
you might also want to try using some area efectors that come on once the explosion has happened that blows your bike parts in different directions?
also if its lava that your falling into then maybe you might want to try having an exploding water effect in it set to have its particle setting to red or orange so that the lava looks like it has had a small eruption/explosion of lava (water), i think you can adjust the force settings on this too and may even convert some force into the broken bike parts
best thing is to try a couple of different methods and see which 1 works best, good luck
