I just wondered why something as simple as rewinding and pausing is missing in the replays.
I mean somewhere along all those trials games someone must have had the idea the idea to implement this.
Why has it never happened ?
I mean whats the point of replay if i can't more carefully watch how someone got past a certain obstacle ?
Right now i have to reload the whole replay just to watch one certain part of it, again and again.
Because the replays are just stored controller values and the they just do the same thing as someone was holding a controller and playing. I guess saving the data of everything that moves would make too large replay files.
Yeah, rewind wouldn't be possible, but I would be happy if you can skip back a few seconds or to restart the replay without going out and in again.
And where's the fun in watching someone else show how it's doneI never watch replays and I feel much more satisfied when I find a good timesaver myself.
Just clearing up some things. You can pause. Just press start.
Also you don't have to exit out to see the replay. 5 seconds after he finishes the replay will restart automatically.
Lastly, sometimes you NEED replays to finish ninja tracks. Just the way it is.. Can't just disregard ninjas anymore. They're arguably the most popular thing in the community right now..
OMFG this, I never use replays, hell I don't even play with other players' ghosts active, only my own.Originally Posted by mutetus

i'm not buying that, i mean the game it's pretty deterministic and as long as you have the commands at the proper time the game should be able to reproduce that and the size of those values should be practically nothing significatly. guess againOriginally Posted by mutetus![]()
