    This engine....

    Is so poorly optimized jesus christ. It doesn't matter if I'm running 1920x1080 or 1280x720, whether AA is on or off is irrelevant. Maps such as "Dark City Run" run like complete crap, at about 30 FPS max! WTF?

    This can't be due to my system cause changing settings makes no difference, so either the setting sliders are broken or the engine ain't optimized, and I'm guessing it's the latter one.

    Oh also, whoever made that thread saying it's due to FOV, get out. Nothing to do with FOV. Everything to do with the engine.

    Anyway, it's just so frustrating trying to get GOLD in a track that isn't even that difficult, but the fact you're losing frames left and right changes the track from "somewhat challenging" to "GL 0 faulting this!"... GRRRR, and this isn't the only track that does this! THESE ARE ALL STOCK TRACKS MADE BY RL!

    Dark city run sometimes lags on the xbox aswell so it's no surprise that it's unplayable on Gold edition, glad i didn't preorder it now as my pc is just past the recommended specs.
    Not FOV, uslessly large Draw Distance is what i think that guy meant in the other thread btw.

    Even draw-distance doesn't lag me when messing around in the editor.
    Some maps though just completely tank the FPS, thing is, in TC it doesn't even happen that much! Sure it will on crappy tracks with 342198123 explosions and copy paste 12938 cars, but on OFFICIAL maps? Warehouse 28 also lags like hell for me, and it's a hard track, so it's much easier to get gold in than extreme, especially if you're going for 0 fault...


    Edit: I think it's all those stupid cars that f that map

    Yeah I know. Some people have some maps running perfectly while others run like crap.
    Do you have issues with any other map? Like Warhouse 28?

    I have issues with both Dark City Run and Warehouse 28, the strange about the latter is it only lags once I get inside the warehouse, it's not laggy outside. :S

    Somewhat similar for Dark City Run, it only starts lagging when there's a wall behind the rider which SHOULD make the game quicker (less stuff to render in the background) but it doesn't, it makes it worse. So the start of the track is laggier than the end, until that backflip jump thing, when it starts to lag again.

    Inferno II also lags after the part where you go backwards down the slope and land on the tyres. Once I get past the last tyre the game starts lagging. On Inferno II. There are no words to describe how it feels to have the game mess up a run on Inferno II because it lagged on the steep ramp at the end.

    Nope.. I'm on xbox so don't have that warehouse one, but according to stiggyhead we get it aswell? I haven't ever had any lag on RL tracks so I'm a lucky one they run smooth for me, only tracks I get lag on is user created, when people have done to many OPE's, triggers ect.

    Yes exactly this! Only inside the warehouse do you get crazy fps spike! WTF!

    Also, Warehouse 28 is a map in the Hard section of trials which is on Xbox afaik, IT'S NOT TRAILS HD MAP!
