    BUMP! New track!

    Name: Metal Mashup!
    Creator: Azraf123(me)
    Difficulty: Ninja
    Date Created: 04/22/2013
Track Description: Plan and Simple, obstacle-wise not simple.. gl hf
Further comments: at metally is stuff. i couldnt really add anything else to it because the complexity bar was literally all red by the time i got done putting it into a building. so it couldn't be at metal-like as i wanted. but the driving line pretty kewl i platinumed it with 138 faults.

Much better dude! Maybe try to add a bit more variety next time. Seemed like a lot of overhanging ledge parts.

    Thanks !
But, really, I don't know if I could ever 0 fault these 2 tracks, I'm not that good with back/front wheel stuff. And the front wheel part on Remix 2 is insane, it's pretty much down to luck to pass this obstacle for me.
Pop culture is almost as hard as Remix 2 too.

Re: Hello Ladies! Dubz One Shop Track Stop @_@!

yeah remix 2 is very hard but i didn't realize pop culture was that hard o.o it was my first map i made in gold edition. but thats nice to know. anyways its all good il just use your 33 faults lol, as you are the only one i noticed that finished it .

    ALSO BUMP! NEW TRACK!
    Name: Ninja Delay !
    Creator: Azraf123(me)
    Difficulty: Ninja (pure)
    Date Created: 04/23/2013
Track description: time delayed ninja, really short gl hf
Further comments: really short track, playing around with how long you can balance at one point. its not wheelie or anything. its somewhat hard. also inspired by a map from xbla i forgot who made it, i think proagony.

yeah i felt the same way but my brain wasn't working right and all i could think of were those. i have been so used to making wheelie maps i forgot about alot of non-gimmicky obstacles.

Re: Hello Ladies! Dubz One Shop Track Stop @_@!

Here is some feedback about your tracks too man!

Coming from the XBLA as well, and being stuck with the PC version so far after moving out, it's tough to deal with such a short range of good custom tracks and so much rigged ones who always have the same flaws, really hope the PC Community will pick up when the game gets more stable ! So I really appreciate guys like you spending time and effort to provide us with some fun and challenge !

Having said that... now come what I mean as constructive feedback but who is probably gonna sound harsh sometimes. Cuz, yeah some of the stuff you do man... It's gotta change lol, it's wasting all your efforts otherwise IMO. I played tonight most of your tracks and few of them got 5 stars. Some others though, I would have -5 the **** out of them if I could just to get them out of my screen ! Which sucks because they all have potential and it's just a matter of common sense. I feel like it's the same for so many other creators out there, so sorry but I'm gonna dump it all on you

Ok so here we go :

Mashup Metal, very good, feels like more testing has been put into it than some others. 5 stars.

Marmoth is one of my favorite as well, I gave it 5 stars. As pointed out before though, it's kinda scary that you think it's definitely not a ninja. Anything with jump + landing on an incline forcing you to do a reverse wheelie makes it ninja already, so does the fender hook technique. If you dont master the technique for those, which is not teached in the main game hardest tracks, you're screwed.. But other than that, really good and not too gimmicky. Same thing for the Wall despite that out of the blue front-wheel only obstacle that fits neither the theme or the average difficulty of the track.

Ninja Delay is an awful track. That whole "stay in the red platform for a while" doesn't work at all cuz of its design. First of all, there is no sign or anything explaining you about it, you pretty much have to guess or watch a replay if available to figure out the first obstacle. And it doesn't even achieve what you were aiming for because the planks are too large and you can just lay on them with your two wheels or wait "under them" as shown in my replay. But what killed it for me despite it feeling very cheesy was that last obstacle. Putting TNT boxes that, instead of exploding, just trigger a random crash zone above it is one of the most lazy and deceiving designs I've seen a while.. It just feels like you didn't bother making the visual and the action match and take the 2 minutes to learn or implement the exploding TNT function of the editor. An if you don't bother making your bombs explode, why should we bother playing your map ? so 1 star for all those reasons. Just like a certain game : not polished enough to be release in its current state

Pure Concrete could be (or is) a good technical map without that awful back wheel incline obstacle. Why awful ? Not just cuz its cheezy but because of that dumb concrete (0:40 on the video) popping out in front of us and blocking our view of the action. Putting **** in front of the screen and hiding the rider to increase difficulty is NEVER a good idea. It's not fun. It's not fair. It's not truly challenging our skills. It's ********. Ruining any map IMO. So anyway, i still go through with it and get past it after raging. And just when I'm about to get through with it and get to the flat part, OUT OF NOWHERE, there is an almost invisible smallish bump (0:52) on the edge of the concrete that screw your balance and makes you fall again. Really ? Next

Remix 2 should not even exist. I liked the first one though. I mean, the beginning is okay and fun. Then you make a jump above some stuff and hear that you skipped a checkpoint, at this point its more like "whatever, not great design but not an issue as far as playing the track". And then you get to that front-wheel obstacle... THIS OBSTACLE is so ridiculous and so luck-based that it's almost impossible. I have no idea how Ikki made it in his run but I suggest you all to watch the replay, its impressive . That's not level 5, that's level ******** at this point And it also makes it obvious that you didn't test it at all and that probably you made an obstacle that you don't have the skill level to pass or to get a strong understanding of its consistency and difficulty... So , end of track here for me, I'm never gonna bother put time and effort to somehow beat that obstacle, it's not rewarding at all and feels dumb compare to the rest of the track.

So, yeah, that's my main beef with your creative process in general, maybe some have a different opinion but mine is the following :

People should try to make tracks that are around their skill level !
It's always the same abnoxious feeling. You playing a map and it's all going well and then, you notice all of the sudden that out-of nowhere weird raw obstacle. And of course, you press start to watch the leaderboards, and the map creator is not even there to show you the way to do it, if there is one.. Which means no testing, no well-balanced obstacle and probably no fun at all. Cuz if you had play that front-wheel obstacle, you would know for sure that it's not good and impossible to pass with consistance. If you feel like a ninja level 2, give us some awesome ninja level 2 tracks then man

    Make it fair
-Checkpoints between obstacles : what's the point of making a really hard obstacle, make the player feel good about getting through, make him keep going for a while with no checkpoint and then make him crash with a weird surface or glitch or box, to have him start all over again ? It's no good for the trackmaker and no good for its players IMO.
    - Always keep the rider and the bike visible especially during a tricky part !
    - No more impossible front-wheel obstacles like the one in remix 2 please, or only if you can pass it yourself !

Ok that's it. As you notice, your last work is my favorite (Ninja delay except) and I wouldn't write long messages like that if I didn't feel they could help you get rid of small stuff that do a lot of harm IMO. So I hope you take it the right way, and I'll be the first one to check out your future stuff for sure

    Peace

+1 to all of this. I raged so hard on pure concrete when I got to the top of that obstacle and that piece sticking out caused me to fault. The pole obstructing my view halfway up was bad enough.

i can pass remix 2 myself, thats the only way one could even share a track if they can pass it. i had tested each part of that track for countless of hours. on that note i can see why you think that i dont test my tracks or play at my skill level because it looks severely difficult for you, but if you were to play the same obstacle for for maybe an hours you can definitely get the technique down to a tee. the difference is that i had the practice with it not being timed.

pure concrete is older than my other tracks, and yes i know about ninja delay it was more of testing thing as it was only 4 checkpoint with that type of map i wasn't done with it so i deserve that rating. back on track to pure concrete if you play my newer tracks you can see i had already fixed that problem, i had brought out 5 new tracks after that and nothing is blocking the view, and they have pretty fair checkpoints ^^.

the only way to change that surface glitch or something for me is to pay attention more and put more time into tracks in which i have been doing. i am very surprised people like pure concrete as i thought it was garbage lol, i thought it would get me like a 3 star or something it only took me 2 hours to do. all my other tracks again (besides ninja delay) took me 6+ hours. but again play my more recent tracks and you will notice that i fixed alot of the stuff that you are criticizing me about.

also if you are complaining about remix 2, check out Pop Culture. ikki cant even pass it. that was my first track on Gold edition. only two others had passed it.

and don't think i am blowing you off. i know what you are saying, and i had already erected those problems in my later tracks. but. i am not promising anything on the front-wheel obstacles, i think they are super super super fun. but from now on i will label in track desc if i have that type of obstacle so people can choose to not play it. (probably a safe word like beetlejuice!)
