Didn't Sony announce the always online thing first?
I scanned for this comment and didn't see it, but for those saying how nice it is to not have to pay to play online on the Playstation, remember that you also cannot do any sort of private or party chat either. The only way you can talk to your friends is if you're in the same game as them. Some of my Xbox friends get in Xbox party chat to play Playstation games together (or even different ones) so that they don't have to listen to random children in the in-game chat.
Personally I am not a "fanboy" of either company. I buy the console(s) that I deem to have the best features and best overall value at the time, in addition to factoring in what my friends have. Exclusives can persuade me also, as they do for many. I've had playstations and xboxes and like them both, and can easily switch from one to the other if they work harder than the other company to create a better product. To each their own though, I guess.
