    BBQ's Tracks

Hi All, I'm a bit of late comer to Trials Evo, only picked it up a couple of months ago after a friend recommended it.

Anyway I've been messing around with the editor and put together a few tracks to share, search my GT : BarbecuePete

    Hope you enjoy...

    [U][B]Trials [u][b]

NEW - Trials 2513 - hard, platinum ending scene.

Lynx Lake 2 - First track, just getting used to the editor. Not the best, but we all gotta start somewhere

Fallin'down Factory - A 'hard' style track for the Rattler 125cc.

Creekbound 'n' Down - medium / hard downhill track.

    SuperCross

    Skill Games

Escape The Flood! - (First attempt at a skill game) Hill climb skill game, Try to escape from the depths of a flooding pumping station, drive over the release valves to slow the rising waters!

    More coming soon....

Thanks Jonny, glad you enjoyed it.

If anyone else has played them I'd appreciate any feedback, I'm still getting used to the editor so I know they aren't the best looking tracks out there, but I was concentrating more on getting used to all the functionality of things and getting the difficulty right for re-playability. Especially on Escape the Flood! It is hard but hopefully not too hard that people get frustrated with it...

    Re: BBQ's Tracks

Really quick (brutal) feedback. First CP is floating, always a bad start. Jerky curves in the driveline. Terrible camera angles in places. Barely any decoration. Obstacles were average, but not the worst part of the track.

Try playing tracks made by the guys on the forum and see how they have done them. Most of the people that are forum members make good tracks and 99% of the best builders are forum members. So they are the best people (apart from RL) to learn from.

My advice is to start off using a straight driveline (just a start and finish spline point), leave the camera as default throughout the track and go from there. Then all you need to worry about are obstacles and decoration. It simplifies the task for you and will enable you to focus on the more important aspects of track making.

Keep at it, we all started somewhere. There's a long, steep learning curve to track making, but stick at it and try and learn from every track you make and you'll soon improve.

Thanks Barry, yeah that's pretty brutal... lol

I've been looking at other peoples tracks, some of them are truly epic.. no idea how people do some of the stuff I've seen, I think it will be a long time before I get to that level!

I will take your advice and try a short, straight track, paying more attention to the details. Really at the moment I'm still getting used to the editor, trying things out and seeing how they work, like you say it's a long steep learning curve, but I hope to get there one day!

Patience and perseverance will get you a long way! Just keep at it and try to improve with each track. Thats the best way to learn imo.

    Re: BBQ's Tracks

New track up - Trials 2513 - hard - They came from 500 years in the future to destroy us, now you've been sent forward in time to destroy them before they can attack!

Only a platinum run will blow the reactor and stop them causing a time anomaly to bring you back to the present day...

Back up from the start if you think you need a kick...

I learnt a lot building this track, it went through a few variations as picked up how to do things, its not perfect and there's a few things I still need to get the hang of fully but I think I'm headed in the right direction. Hope you enjoy.
