Is there Editor function that automatically adds the stuff that u built on the first lane to the other three lanes. Grouping objects ,copying them and then routating and positioning them right just takes to long and takes the fun out of building. I built one track this way but i won't build another one like this.
I don't think there's any shortcut to building the other lanes beside what you've already been doing
hi Mich,
I do understand what your problem is.
The best and useful way is to use a snap plane.
Go to editor settings and check "Position X", "Position Y" and Position Z". After you did that, choose your snap plane size. Then, you can either place the snap plane on an object or leave it to global. The best would be to snap the driving line globally and have the lane distance numbers like 1m/1.50m/2m etc.
Now you can always press right stick once to grid, and twice to the right axis.don't know what Keyboard button is for the PC trials). So, you can place those object exactly right you want.
For the same rotation axis, first press twice right stick when the object is selected as described above, to give the right rotation with the global/object snap plane.
Go to editor settings and choose the fixed degrees you want. Now, press LB several times till you have your desired rotation axis.
If you don't understand my English, check out this video by Jarett88:
the easiest way i found so far is to exclude curved drive lines. i don't see the point in having them anyway, it just adds stuff you have to worry about"work" without adding any value imo.
-you just build 1 line,
-make a huge *** box
-hold down ctrl
-and drag the appropriated axe.
so you don't have to rotate/position and all that jazz.
surely this is not the best way depending on the object you use because you could improve the performance by placing objects so that it covers 2 or more drive lines instead of 4 copies of the first line but hey easy is easy.
I wanted to build a track without adding new objects...just by using the hills etc. in the Trials world. The problem is that although the terrain looks similar (sand etc.) the lanes are different...not all lanes are of the same speed. How can you create a fair track?
try not to use hills, use flat areas which is set to "flatten" instead of" height" or terrain ramps, then expand them (press RB to change mode, then R-stick or LT/RT to decrease/increase for xbox controller, but I don't know which buttons for PCOriginally Posted by LeanderAT), but you should only use one terrain shape between the 4 lanes.
Hope this helps and I understand you![]()
The editor is cool but everything takes so long. I just wanted to place a wagon onto rails...and a gas tank on top of the wagon...a police car next to them (it has just crashed into it)..and fire. Isn't there an automatic tool that drops objects without having to manually rotate the object, zoom in and out so they don't float around in the air...?
Another question: is there a way to get breaking glass or exploding barrels work in 4-player-hot seat?
You can turn on physics while you have selected an object, then you can move it and it will stop when you hit the object you want it to sit on. (this is with the select button on the controller)Originally Posted by LeanderAT
I don't think you can, supercross tracks have triggers disabled, I think you can only use the effects if you want to add something to your trackOriginally Posted by LeanderAT
