Multiplayer support information directly from ubisoft

I contacted ubisoft support to try to get my pre order items, and i decided to bundle multiplayer not working in with it. The woman reset my key and i was able to get my preorder items, but i was still failing to join any type of multiplayer match.

I am apparently still too new to post links, so heres the latest message she sent me:
I have been updated that it is a known issue for not being able to access multiplayer and is being worked on as we speak. I suggest trying to access the game over the weekend and if you still can not access the multiplayer please update this ticket.

Ubisoft Support offices are closed on the weekends, but if you are still unable to contact by Monday please let me know and I will hold on to your ticket throughout the week so I may update you on the status of the resolution. We deeply appreciate your patience in the matter.

She pasted, to me, a wall of text on ways that people have been able to fix their multiplayer.
i would start with the ports mentioned in method two, as they are different than i have seen before.

Thank you for contacting Ubisoft Support. There may be several different factors causing a problem like this. Here are some steps you can take to troubleshoot the problem:

    1. Some anti-virus or firewall programs may prevent the Game Launcher from communicating properly with the service.
Please make sure that you have updated any anti-virus or personal firewall software you have installed.
Some software may need to be uninstalled from your computer to play the game.
Programs known to interfere with the Game Launcher:

    ZoneAlarm
    NetLimiter
    Avira
    Komodo
    Hamachi
    Rogers Online Protection
    Ultimate Arena
CA Security Suite (also known as "My Kids")

    -------------------------------------------

    2. You will need to make sure that the following ports are open on your router or DSL modem's hardware firewall:

    TCP ports: 80, 13000, 13005, 13200-13999

Unfortunately, we cannot provide assistance with opening ports, since the procedure depends on the configuration of your home network.
If you are unsure of how ports work, the best course of action may be to contact your router manufacturer, system administrator or ISP for more information.
You can also try to bypass the router by plugging directly into the modem to see if the connection error persists.
Also, you may need to update the firmware for that device if there is an update available.

    -------------------------------------------

    3. Are you able to access the following URL?

    http://static3.cdn.ubi.com/orbit/sat...ellitelist.txt

the resulting page should look like this:

    216.98.51.199
    216.98.51.201
    216.98.51.202
    216.98.51.203
    216.98.51.204
    216.98.51.205

(The numbers themselves may not be exactly as shown above.)

If you are unable to display that page, try resetting your DNS host files using the links below:
    http://support.microsoft.com/kb/972034
    http://www.whatsmydns.net/flush-dns.html

    -------------------------------------------

    4. This problem may have to do with connecting through a proxy server to connect to the Internet.
The Ubisoft Game Launcher uses the Windows settings for the http proxy, but some configurations could experience problems.
If you connect to the Internet through a proxy, please try the following:

    - Locate the settings.ini file located in the installation directory of the Ubisoft Game Launcher (C:\Program Files (x86)\Ubisoft\Ubisoft Game Launcher)
    - Open it with Notepad, and add the following at the bottom of the document:

    [ProxySettings]
    ProxyHost=proxyhostnameroxyport
    OverrideProxySettings=1

You will need to change the proxyhostname and proxyport to the values setup for your proxy. You can USUALLY find this information by:

    - Open Internet Explorer and go to Tools --> Internet Options
    - Click on the Connections Tab and click on LAN Settings.
    - The Proxy HostName (address) and Port can be found in this window.

If you don't know this information or are unsure how to find out your proxy settings, you may need to contact your ISP or network administrator for more information.

    -------------------------------------------

I hope these steps are helpful in resolving your connection issue.

I'm surprised you got an answer, really. I got one message asking if I still needed help and after telling them that I did, I haven't heard from them since. That's a week ago now

Re: Multiplayer support information directly from ubisoft

Still doesnt work, I tryed following things:

    - deactivate my antivirus (avast)
    - deactivate the complete Windows Firewall
    - forwarded these ports
    - started Trials with admin permissions

None of these works, so I guess its a game bug.
In every other game I can play normally and even host servers.

My problem in Trials: endless searching for players, sometimes it simply shuts down (back to desktop)

Maybe we can compare our programs on our PCs, so we may habe similar programs that block trials?

But thank you so far, for sharing your results to us. Tomorrow, i will try to open my Ports and get it to work - let's see.
We had a "LAN" tonight and i took my Pc to my friend and tried to play online - no problem. Not even one crash while at home it frequently crashes to desktop while searching for players. I think the only difference between us is, that he has a Fritzbox and i have a Speeport Router. If the problem was up to my firewall settings, Antivir or anything else on software side it wouldnt' have worked tonight.

CzarMan, what router do you have? I seriously think the problem is my speedport router, the problem can't be on my computer.

Edit, here is what I tried so far:

(sorry, but the interface is in german)
As you can see every UPlay Port and Trials Evolution Port is forwarded to my computer. (Name: Gott)

As you can see in this picture Trials is not blocked in the Windows Firewall.
I even created the similar setting in the outgoing connections in the Windows Firewall, but nothing what I did worked.

Re: Multiplayer support information directly from ubisoft

I finally played the first round online at home! I forwarded my ports, but i didn't think this was the problem. I turned my "Hamachi-connection" off in "network connections" at get it work. I'm very sure that Hamachi interrupts the connection of Trials. After 3 rounds the game crashed, but i finally get it work. Try to turn off not-used netwerk connections, my friend helped that, too! I hope these clues help someone else.
