So I uninstalled before the game went live to do a completely new install.

Now when I go to install the game again I keep getting "Do you want to remove completely remove the selected application and all of it's features?"
I tried both yes and no.

No just gives me a box saying the setup was interrupted and I can only click finish.


Yes give me a:

Unhandled Execption
Error Number: 0x80040702
Description: Failed to load DLL: GameuxInstallHelper

Setup Will now terminate.

And all I can do is click Okay the Finished.

I do get a option to try again or Verify Files and I tried Verify Files and it hangs around 11 and said

"Can't verify files at this time. If problem persists please contact Ubisoft Support."

I clicked OK.

Now I have a button for Try Again on Verify Files. I click it and it comes up and says

"All files are verified and up to date!"

So what do I do to fix this?

Try to disable any anti-virus software on your PC and try the un/install again. Once installed re-enable the anti-virus software.

This looks like a Windows Installer issue, the following link is for Zoo Tycoon, but it may help with the issue you are currently facing.

Also, please do as UseLessUK suggested, sometimes Firewall/AntiVirus software doesn't play nice with installation of programs (notably Zone Alarm).

Tried UseLessUK disabling of anti-virus and it didn't do anything. Running Microsoft Internet Security Essentials.

Will try Shifty's now and report back.

Okay tried Shifty's.

Result when I followed the first answer was the same as I posted when I clicked yes.

When I went to the Regedit I had the same problem as that person posted about it not being in that location. But I did a search in the Regedit for Trials Evolution Gold Edition and deleted everything that came back as my old install path. I left the ones that said default. To make sure to clean up after that for any problems I used CC Cleaner to fix any issues in the registry and then restarted my computer. After booting back up (love SSDs) I started UPlay and tried installing again and it worked. Glad I still have all of my content also. Would have been mad if I lost my Donkey. Still have all the tracks I downloaded to strangely enough. But thanks for the help see ya'll in game.
