It's been a week since Evo Gold launched and none of the cheaters have been removed and non of the glitched scores have been dealt with. It used to be that Redlynx really cared about having legitimate leaderboards and always were on top of removing illegitimate scores. Especially during launch week I'm shocked that these issues are being ignored. whats worse is all of these issues were reported on during the beta. Redlynx I encourage you to return to your old style when the developers cared and took action. when someone reported an issue it was responded to like this:

I completely understand what you are saying and Redlynx should be fixing this, but the truth is, most of their user base is more worried about the framerate issues and the lack of preorder bonuses. Since there are probably less than 50 people that actually care about their rank, RL may not see this as a high priority at the moment. I hope for you and all other PC speedrunners that RL fixes this soon so you can enjoy the game. Also note, the PC version is likely going to be easier to hack than the Xbox version as it isn't a closed system which sucks for legitimate players. Hopefully RL can keep to their philosophy of leaderboard integrity.
I just saw this is one of those threads that Murdoch linked to.
Shame this doesn't seem to be the case anymore.Originally Posted by supertom![]()
Edited to be constructive: I believe Redlynx needs to start listening to the community more like they use too in hd. If we said there was a leaderboards problem it would be gone in a week.
I didn't play trials in that time period, but I see that trials has so many issues that redlynx doesn't bother to fix right now, forget about the leaderboards, they are not super important to the gameplay, but some people like myself can't even play on good settings without it lagging like hell on a PC that can run Crysis 2 on max setting. That's pretty ridiculous. I know they've said that they're going to fix it, but they should have done that, and fix all other glitches before the launch.
Also I feel sorry for shifty for taking all the crap for redlynx, but I guess that it is kinda what you sign up for, when you agree on being the community manager...
try to keep it constructive guys - If you agree that RedLynx needs improvement, use this thread to give feedback and constructive criticism![]()
I think the issue here is while their excuse more or less that they are too busy trying to make the game playable for the rest of their audience, they seem to being acting incredibly slowly on both fronts (leadboard fixes and general bug fixes).
Verifying/removing cheaters from leaderboards shouldn't be a huge task for someone to take up, so just get it over with while you do your bug fixes so you can at least make some of your fans happy.
Personally I think it was extremely irresponsible to release this game so early and label it as finished. From day1 of the beta it was obvious that this was a rushed release and I had hope but nothing improved for me with the retail release. For shame.
But I still adore redlynx and believe everything will be fixed in time, they just need to get their priorities straight. Fixing the leaderboards shouldnt involve more than a day to fix, even if that means I have to wait longer to get smooth fps, seeing its already been a month a extra day wouldn't hurt.
Oh wow. Back when I was XxTime, that was a long time ago.
+1 for the notion.
Competing for lb position on HD tracks is the sole reason i am getting a PC for Gold Edition (which i would have already if not for the hefty traffic ticket i had to take care of first). Hopefully when all high priorites are said and done, Redlynx will continue to maintain the integrity of the leaderboards, which they have done so since T2SE. I can understand if this will not be effective immediately but perhaps with some assuring, we can all rest a bit little easier.
Come to think of it, i have not seen sebbbi or Jorma post in a longgg time.
