Almost a year after its release on XBLA, excellent Trials Evolution arrives on PC and provides the opportunity for some small bonus justifying the name Gold Edition. Is it therefore a new inevitable or a port slapdash?



The Trials Evolution gameplay is all about management of physical hyper sharp. The undeniable appeal of multi

We could not be complete without talking about the multiplayer Trials Evolution, the real surprise of this title. While its predecessor merely sharing scores and levels online, it offers parts two, three or four, in real time, and both online and in local! So you can have fun with three friends (on the same keyboard or pads), or they are connected to your sides in a dedicated multiplayer mode, as championships. The host has the option to choose custom or random series, the latter allowing to choose from a couple of thoughts tracks for the occasion, which is a little lighter. This is also one of the few criticisms that can be made to Trials Evolution. However, these tracks adopt a different profile from those that adorn the solo as much faster and logically easier, allowing players of all levels will find with pleasure. The checkpoints are here to function immediately respawn players fell. Thus, it is possible to fall many times, but still won the race at the last checkpoint reappearing! To focus on usability, multi introduces a unique mechanism: the ejection. Near the finish line, players can therefore, by simply pressing Y, pilot their ship forward, to save time, like a runner 100 meters leaning his head forward so ahead of its competitors in the photo finish. A PC version at a discount?

Sold more than 5 euros on Xbox 360, the PC version has clearly not been provided overly finicky. In our case, it is first translated by an installation laborious planted on two different PCs. After 1 hour and a half, we have finally been able to get into the game and notice some slowdowns little annoying but still present, even on a PC competition. Good visual compared to the console version is also not obvious, at this stage, the results seem mixed. Fortunately, we propose some new, starting with the presence of all tracks in Trials HD. The decorative elements associated have also been incorporated into the level editor for an even richer result. Overall, the balance is balanced and therefore despite its flaws, the PC version turns out to be as great as its counterpart 360. Finally, Trials has many qualities that AAA, without the inconvenience of a stunning rate. It is a de facto part of the games beside which it is unthinkable to go whenever you like scoring, difficulty and ease of multiple parts. Be warned any case, Trials Evolution is a game especially hardcore (sometimes too), to book for those who have enough patience and perspective on the world rankings, often discouraging!

Certainly, Trials Evolution is not a port of the century as some slowdowns and bugs disrupt the experience. That said, the new version makes up by offering all tracks in Trials HD and publisher even more complete. Short, we play on 360 or PC, Trials Evolution is a pearl for less than € 20, is a reference undeniable, pretty, fun, funny, addictive, hardcore and has a demanding and balanced gameplay. RedLynx we therefore propose a new gem not to be missed under any circumstances.
