well I`ve just released my first own track onto tc, it is also my competition entry for the Redlynx Month of Motor Mayhem Track Building Competition
see here for comp: Month of Motor Mayhem
Track Name: Firefly Cavern
Difficulty: Medium (easier side of medium)
Available Bikes: Scorpion 450cc and Pheonix 250cc
Description: The track is set in a cavern situated beneath a river but is beginning to lay waste to the test of time,
the force of the river above has started to cause huge cracks in the cavern roof and huge waterfalls have formed as a result,
the waterfalls have chiseled away at the cavern floor creating an underground river. There are walkways throughout yet I`m not sure
all of them are entirely stable![]()
I hope you all enjoy the track, If your going for the speed run then I recommend the Scorpion, if you want a little more of a challenge
then take the Pheonix, the speed run is still possible with the Pheonix, it just takes a bit more know how on how the bike handles![]()
Video to follow shortly![]()
lastly, I`ll be getting back to the ports again now, seen a couple others on tc done by other people which quite simply arent worth your time
you guyz know who`s ports are worth the look![]()
enjoy the track folks![]()
Sweet map, dude. Scorpion was much easier indeed. I tried with Phoenix, but i was almost hitting the edge of every jump, it was kinda frustrating. I know, my skill shines.
EDIT: Forgot to mention one thing i didn't like. The vertical grounds, for example in the end with the lake, they just look kinda stretched and ugly. Leaving those areas empty of details, i think it takes something away from the overall sweet atmosphere/looks you're trying to build on your track. I saw the same thing on some supercross maps, where the jumps are large and very stretched, so they give the same look. I hope you understand what i mean, because i'm not sure i explained it well.
Ya playing with terrain mods is a pain in the butt. That stretched look can be hard to get rid of. You will get better with terrain mods the more you use them. But ya really enjoyed this track. Simple line, but real fast and furious which is right up my alley. For a first attempt at an original track I thought you did a great job.Originally Posted by soad667
Thanks Soad and Muscles for the comments,, kinda ran out of complexity in the end to be honest lol
But will bear that in mind for future Soad, what you said bout the stretched out parts,, i do understand yeah
Anyways I`m not going to add them in and up another version of the track, im very much once its up its up lol
