Thanks, i agree with everything you said there. When i make realistic style maps, i have a strong aversion to adding things to the map that shouldn't be there, i dont like having objects in there just for the sake of it, they need to somewhat belong. So i'd rather put nothing there than a random piano or something.![]()
I feel the same way about objects that don't belong. I see all these maps where they are styled to something specific, maybe a cavern for example, and the creator added wooden plank jumps all along it without any hint of belonging. I just can't do that, it has to feel like it's part of the map for me to put it there. That is unless it's themed to a trick park where everything is constructed obstacles. Yep that's exactly my issue.
Maybe im not imaginative enough to make do with the objects we have, but there's only so many obstacles you can make out of barrels and shipping containers.
