Why not use a xbox controller and be done with it..Alot of people take strange twist and turns to make stuff work and then wonder why stuff doesnt work right..Xbox plug n play it installs update without anything extra boom your golden

Because investing in a controller for a console they don't have might not be possible for everyone. That comes to mind, yeah

If you are playing wireless with motioninjoy (you need a bluetooth adapter, not build in bluetooth) you have to pair the controller with the bluetooth. You will have to connect your controller with the cable to your ps3 to pair it back. So it can't connect with your ps3 while you are playing on the pc.

I have a built in bluetooth adapter, works perfectly fine if you don't mind the fact that you lose all other functionality with it.

I used the one from here in USB-only mode since I consider MiJ a PITA.
Even if it's still a work-in-progress, everything works great for me no matter which controller I use (360 or DS3) for Trials.
Don't use the Bluetooth on my MB though (which is a supported device as of now) as I have switched it off and going by the thread it can be a bit wonky - maybe going to try that later (it's also the same like in MiJ, you lose all functionality because of the pairing so it has to be dedicated to the DS3).
I also had to unplug the PS3 while playing since the DS3 is paired and switches it on every time I pull its USB-connection to the PC.

My firewall did pop-up but I found it explained why.

Because why should I buy an extra controller, when I already have PS3 and it's controller and it works perfectly fine on any game I have on PC.
