A detailed post describing the issue and methods you've tried to fix it along with your system specs would propably prove more helpful to you than posting what you did. Seeing how the vast majority has the game up and running it might as well be a problem specific to your system or something.

The way to ask for a refund will be different depending on which retailer you purchased from.

I've tried
* Start the game after first install. Got a error in uplay. Can't remember the error message, but it was something about contacting support if the problem continues. So i tried uinstall uplay, with the game. I can download the game but I can't install the game, because I continue to get a error (0x80040702) about failing to load a DLL (GameuxInstallHelper) when im about to install the game and the install terminates.
* Contact Ubisoft Support, but i haven't got any answers yet.
* Post a comment with my problem in a bug thread just above here. I did get an answer, but it haven't helped me.. They say they are going to fix it, but I have to wait till they have updated/patched the game before i download it? Really? I mean.. why do i have to wait? Can't Uplay update the game after i've already downloaded the game?

What hardware I got shouldn't be a problem at the moment as I can't install the game..
But here you go anyways;
i7-2600k CPU
8 GB RAM
GTX 570 SLi

I know there has been trouble with SLi, but as i said, i can't install the game, so my hardware shouldn't be a problem.

Forget about the question about claiming my money back. Someone help me over here..

Just give me a reply if you need any more info.

Did a quick search and I may have found something. Does require registry editing though but solved a problem similar to yours.

Ok, my buddy in Ubi Support said it sounds like a corrupt download and he recommends that you do the following:

Go to: c:\Program Files (x86)\Ubisoft\Ubisoft Game Launcher\cache\installers
Delete folder 78
Reinstall

This should delete the previous installer from your system and download it again.

Deffo try this first, much safer than my suggestion. Btw Shifty, could you ask your buddy how to get offline created tracks into online mode again to share them?

I really don't think he would know that. I am actually really lucking that I work out of the North America Ubisoft Support building, otherwise I wouldn't be able to answer some of these questions. As it is, I run across the office and hound people for fixes until they either a) tell me, or b) throw something at me.

I've deleted the folder. Uplay is dowloading missing/corrupted files at the moment. I'll report back when it's done.

Same happends again..
Install -> "Do you want to completely remove the selected application and all its features?" -> Yes/No.
If i press "yes", it comes up with an error as i mentioned above.
If i press "no" the window just closes.

Anyways.. why does the game want to uinstall when I press install..?

I followed the "guide" on the site you link'd and deleted the registry stuff I needed to delete, I think. I'm re-downloading the game now. Ill report back when the download is finished again.
