"There was a problem starting your game."

I have tried everything I can think of. Re installation of both the game and uPlay multiple times. Cleaned the registry. Uninstalled all other Ubisoft games. I've tried all the possible solutions given from the Farcry 3 or Assassins Creed 3 boards.. The game simply refuses to launch. It has not opened uPlay even one time.

This is the error it displays:
There was a problem starting your game. Make sure you have no other games running that use the Ubisoft Game Launcher. If the problem persists, try reinstalling the game.
    (Note: Steam preorder purchase.)

So, is this message appearing when Uplay starting, or Trials?

    The game; from Steam.

I managed to fix it though. I had to browse to the game executable and make sure it runs with administrator privileges.
    Sorry for wasting your time.

Not a waste of time at all. Now I know the fix if another user encounters that error!
