Hey, Just wanted to put this out there. I have 2 more episodes planned but I wanted to make sure that I cover everything that should have. If you have any further requests for the last few eps, please let me know in the comments and I will try to cover as many as I can.![]()
Class 7 is up in the OP. Class 8 is planned for the 16th of October... are you ready to graduate?
Awesome work Shady; that was a lot of content for one class.
Awesome vid again mate. I'm still struggling to think of something you haven't covered yet.
haha so am i... thats why the series will draw to a close next lesson.Originally Posted by Defoliator
I mean there are a bunch of Ninja techniques that I might mention in the final class, but they are really not required for the core game. I always wanted to just help people get through extremes. I was surprised but at the end of class 7, I had covered about 20 unique tips and I was really surprised that a game that only has two triggers and a thumb stick would allow me to generate that much content.
And as always, thanks all for the feedback.
The only tips I can think of would be: pushing forward before a ramp to be able to get your front wheel over it (Dunes of Hazard third major jump) and the weight back brake flip over ramp (catchy I know; the end of Suspense.)
If I can think of any more I will post.
I assume you're talking about the old "fapping" move to tap the brake to raise the rear wheel with the front wheel planted? Worth covering I reckon. Similarly, tapping the brake to increase the rotational speed of a flip is something I find myself using pretty often.Originally Posted by FatShady
I agree that the "fap" technique will never be needed for the core game and improving time on tracks
Unless you get a crazy time saver by clearing a gap and need to use it.
You can use it in extreme tournaments like TYM to save yourself etc
WOTN on the bench time saver you use it,
I guess we could think of more scenarios where we use it, It may be worth covering.
But its definitely a more advanced technique and is rarely used with the core gameplay of improving times on SP tracks
Great video again as usual.![]()
I suggest for class 8 the brake button mashing technique. That helps when you are hanging on a cylinder obstacle (i.e. last pipe on Fishy Business, the pipes on The Forge) to slide forward which is the only way when in this situation, or when your front wheel is already on a flat plaform which the rear wheel is still in unsafe area & in the air.
Other technique would be mashing the gas button when you are rolling backwards on a steep ramp like the ones in Inferno 3 or Magic Marker.
edit: Oooh, didn't realize that Defoliator already mentioned the brake button mashing.![]()
I think Im going to run out of time to cover it all in the last class tbh. I will likely cover the magic marker jump, great fire pipes, inferno pallets, rear wheel hook, fender grab and a few other fun stuff.. so it's jam packed and as I only have 2 weeks left to get it done, I think I have to stop including stuff....Originally Posted by Blastergamer
Also, there is a game that was just releasted that I have put 35 hours into already and the online stuff is opened up this week.. soooooo im going to be struggling to get it completed on time as it is
Thanks for the feedback and suggestions though, appreciated as always .
