Re: So, seriously, Controller or Keyboard?

Why would you even want to play this with a keyboard? PS3 controller for the win!

Re: So, seriously, Controller or Keyboard?

i personally use a wired xbox360 pad, can generally be found new for around £15 - £18, useful for lots of games aside from trials, but trials is the main one, and no setting up is required, unlike with other controllers (like the PS3, which does work, but can be troublesome when it wants)

i've barely got the skill to get golds on extremes with a pad that i'm well used to, i'd have no chance with keyboard.....tried T2SE recently, i was utterly pathetic when using the keyboard then....but to be honest, i wasn't much better with a pad, long story short, i suck at trials

Because the last time I was regularily playing anything with a controller, the Backstreet Boys were topping the charts

    Also, Trials2SE.

    I don't have a clue whether it means anything, bu-hut ... I made a Top60 run yesterday

I am sorry that ninja tracks are so hard on the keyboard, they are usually made with the intention that the people playing them will be using a gamepad. If you don't like it don't play it. I refuse to dumb a track down because a guy on a keyboard has trouble.

I personally use a controller, but that's probably because I've come from the console versions. It's just down to preference just as RT or A and D-Pad or Analogue stick were back then.

Shameless plug of sorts, but I just finished recording a segment on the University of Trials about this topic. Spoilers.. but whatever, I conclude that controllers are better for newer players, however if you were a pro at T2se on KB, then stick with it. It's possible to be awesome on either, but like a number of you, I have always used controller so I won't switch.

since you only can run with full throttle on keyboard those ninja tracks for gold will hopefully be made a bit different, otherwise I wont play them/not able to get up the hill
If there are things you can do with a controler, that aren't possible with a keyboard, i'd say that's enough proof that, the controler is actually better than the keyboard.

Actually keyboard isn't all that bad, I got 50 faults on Way Of The Ninja on my first try with my crappy laptop that runs this game at 30 fps average and stutters all the time and looks like this: http://prntscr.com/xwzh1
but controller definitely feels better to me, and I'd say that ninja difficulty maps are near impossible on keyboard
