i enjoy trials pig and files when it comes on, even though i have usually played the files track they choose, as it is normally a top rated track, most of the tracks in trials pig are terrible, one of my friends was featured, it was basically a segment of a hill and you just had to descend it. i think the point of it is to show a tonne of fails, not really to show any skill or track-making ability, it seems the maps are made to be annoying, and not ones that can be completed in 0 faults speed run time. i still enjoy the show, despite the uselessness of the guys playing
That's why you got True fan Jones.Originally Posted by sparkierjonesz
I totally agree with this, I watch it for entertainment not to find good tracks ( I am getting De ja vu from that thread complaining about hatfilms) Also if you want to see good tracks remember rooster teeth also run trials files!Originally Posted by sparkierjonesz
these guys do all sorts of tracks, they have done a bunch of my tracks and always make references to the visuals so they are at least in some way advertising what you can do in the editor not just amateur tracks. I think by showing some of the lesser liked (by us) tracks the 1's with all the gimmicks, no scenery, and crap dl's etc that they are trying to reach out to different players (the majority) which is a shame because we want the majority to be interested in the trials part of the game and not so much the gimmicky part of the game rly.
I'd like to see a true trials game released somehow where there are no gimmicky stuff at all. This would not be possible unless they take all physics based (moving) stuff out, have no skill games, no physics, no bailout, no nitro boosters, no hinges or joints etc atc and just have an editor that gives you objects, lights and effects to make just static tracks out of. This way the game would probably only attract the serious trials players and hence more serious tracks should flood TC, then the people that want all the gimmicks can say nah this aint for me im gonna buy trials evo instead
this will never happen but a nice dream tho, and i'd probably still play both games as i do enjoy a good skill game every now and then and like the occasional physics obstacles too
I'm an avid achievement hunter fan, and I watch all of their videos, not just trials. I can assure you they have explained the immense detail of the Trials track editor, many, many times.
