I know it's a lot to ask but, i think that in the long run, and right now, it's the best thing we can do to get more ppl playing this game, cos, believe it or not, they have one of the most viewed Trials shows on the Internet (i forgot to say that, they are a part of Roosterteeth), and i think that, the Trials Community needs to step in, and help them make the show more enjoyable to everyone watching it.

I have/had approx 15 friends playing Trials, and 12-13 of them stopped playing cause they played trough tracks from Redlynx lots of times, but now as time goes, they dont enjoy them as much and TC is all about ninjatrack that 100 out of 1 million can do. Keep in mind that this community is a minority and not a majority. This community makes the best tracks(read most enjoyable) for the eliteplayers, while an average player loses interest in all the extremes it seems> Refering to most of my averagefriends lost interest.
So if you want more ppl to play, is it really good idea to infiltrate(you serious??) another community with these extreme tracks only a tiny part of Trialsplayers enjoy?
thing is the good tracks with a good driveline etc are boring to watchOriginally Posted by Coastkey
the charm of those shows is to see them suffer and struggle on those tracks
that applies to "universal" vids. you check the comments on a bieber vid and you are gonna be looking at some of THE MOST stupid people combined with the biggest trolls ever.Originally Posted by PenguinFTW
but a vid showcasing Track Central on Trials? no randomers stumble into that, and if they do, they leave... the people commenting there are exactly the people on topic here and the same people that rate Trials tracks 2* because the bailout force was less than 200% before they move onto golfgame26.
It depends, if it was some niche trials video then ok maybe, but if it was an Achievement Hunter video or something similar that gets a ton of views I wouldn't value a single opinion from a name I don't recognize
why would someone random comment on a vid about a game like that if he wasn't playing trials or has played itOriginally Posted by PenguinFTW
Agreed they are more mainstream. But I didnt value the opinion, I immediately passed him off as an idiot who had no idea what he was talking about - but whether he was a reliable source or not wasnt the point, seeing someone write a paragraph just completely dismissing a track I spent stupid amounts of time building, in favour of the gimmicky crap we all know about, made the difference in community far more clear to me than any 4* rating ever would.Originally Posted by PenguinFTW

Seriously though, over a million people have played this game, it's not some little underground indie game that only the people on the forum here know about. In reality only a few thousand people actually play this game, but technically a ton more have at one time or another loaded up some Trials or at least know about it. It's one of the most popular XBL Arcade games
Alright I see what you're saying.Originally Posted by WILLYUMZ
Still though, did it really come as a surprise to you that this is the situation? Everyone who posts on this forum is a minority; I don't think I've seen a single post commending a don't move track or something similar, and yet they continually do well in the 48H feeds despite the apparent hate from "everyone."
The fact he wasnt even slightly interested in normal trials, and was overjoyed by bailout games didnt surprise me at all.Originally Posted by PenguinFTW
It was the way he described the track that surprised me. I always kinda thought these people recognise "better" tracks, but just arent interested in them - but this kid made his point as though we are the noobs, as though "Pure Trials" is what people build when they cant use the editor very well and so on.
I didnt care, or consider that he might have had a point. I was just suggesting that those people are not in any way likely to see our reasoning any time soon and that particular instance is what defined it best for me.
Its a sad truth. I've known for a while now from having family play/watch THD. They always liked the crazy stuff more. Especially crashing and afterburners.Originally Posted by WILLYUMZ
