Ok guys, there's something that's been happening for far too long, and it needs to be addressed...

Most of you probably know about this, but, there's a bunch of guys from the website Achievement Hunter, who have been making videos about User Created Tracks, but, instead of showing the best tracks, from the Trials Community, released on Track Central, like you see on any other Youtube video of this kind, these guys actually reach out to THEIR community, to make Tracks, to be on the show.
The problem with that is...
Their Community, is not the same as our community...
The ppl making tracks for their show, are not the same ppl who hang around here, and/or are experienced in the Track Editor, and, as you can see in the video above, it clearly shows.
And my problem with that is, they are poorly showing the game, and what it can do.
If you know nothing about Trials, and the first thing you see, is one of their Trials PIG videos, that is going to be your first impression of that game, and you know what they say about first impressions, right?
I think it's cool that they have an active community, and like to interact with their community (Wink* We miss you Redlynx...), but, i think that, nobody wins with the way they are doing this show.
I think the show would be much better, for the ppl playing, and for the ppl watching, if they had better quality tracks to play, so...
My ideia is, we need some of the best creators here, to volunteer themselves, to "infiltrate" their website, and their community, and make some good quality tracks for their show.
I know it's a lot to ask but, i think that in the long run, and right now, it's the best thing we can do to get more ppl playing this game, cos, believe it or not, they have one of the most viewed Trials shows on the Internet (i forgot to say that, they are a part of Roosterteeth), and i think that, the Trials Community needs to step in, and help them make the show more enjoyable to everyone watching it.
Cos it hurts me to see those kind of Tracks get the spotlight, when we so many amazing Track Creators, continually making great stuff, everyday.
So, what are you thoughts on this?
And, would anyone like to volunteer?
I completely agree about this. I can't watch their trials videos, because 1.) They are terrible at trials, and 2.) The tracks they pick for the show are terrible. I sent in one of my extremes a while back, and I don't think they decided to use it for the show, but I only sent it in so that some people that watch the videos don't leave thinking that this is all the editing community is capable of. 99% of these tracks are absolute garbage, and there is one person in particular who continually gets tracks featured, with none of them being even decent. This one person is also repeatedly commended for his "amazing" tracks by the guys who are doing the vide, but I have yet to see any of these so-called "amazing" tracks that I would give more than a 1 star rating to.
While I do dislike them showing the worst of the worst, they are entitled to do whatever they wish. In many of the videos they comment on how random and ****ty the obstacles are. I'm just glad they like the game and promote it as much as they do.
They also do 'Trials Files' every week where they showcase one creation that amazed them. Several ( if not all ) of which have been from this forum.

I cant remember which one it was because I dont like any trials-related youtube series', but one of them used a track of mine and someone linked it to me, which was great.
But then I had a quick look down the comments. I cant remember exact words but it basically asked why they would bother using Bangduck, when it was clearly thrown together in a few minutes, no innovation, no design, no fun etc etc "just a track" - the other track in that episode was one where the rider bailed and flew around collecting coins (no disrespect, it was a well made one) - and in the same comment, he could not praise that one enough.
That comment really made this point hit home with me, probably because it was about my own track which id spent a lot of time and effort on, but it would have been the same comment regardless of whose track it was. He just had no clue, why ANYONE would value a track that you just ride normally/compete on - and if someone doesnt understand that, they certainly dont want to hear about thoughtful ridelines and efficient lighting - hence all the tripe on track central.
But the important thing is that they are not wrong. As annoying as it is for us, if thats the thing the majority of people enjoy about trials, then this PIG thing is good publicity.
When the next gen Trials comes, one casual player might think "trials? thats the game where my friend made a dude fly across a lake and land in a giant cup... i'll buy it" - which is enough to make me cringe, but we're not the ones to judge what people should and shouldnt enjoy, even when it affects our own enjoyment of the game unfortunately.
