User name/real name on track times | Forums

Hello,

So far, I've only played Trials Evo in single player mode, both Crash Country and the HD Warehouse. For the first few times I used the game, my U-Play username (Kootiepatra) was saved with the track record times, and when I was racing the ghosts of those times, it would appear with my username there as well.

However, the last time or two I've played the game, it has displayed with my real first name. The game seems to have preserved my career stats, as well as custom bike parts--recognizing at some level that (my first name) is the same as my user name. This perplexes me, though, as to my knowledge, my real name is not even associated with my U-Play or Steam profiles.

Is this a glitch, or a game feature I'm just misunderstanding? Is there a way to adjust my settings so it only displays my user name? Where would it have even found my real name?

I know it's a small thing, but I figured I might as well mention it during the beta.

I just started the game today, and I seam to have the same bug like OP experiences.

I have no ghost activated, and yet I get my u_play name displayed for what seams to be my ghost.

So, yes, it's a bug.

This happens because the beta has ended and game doesn't connect to any servers anymore. So it uses your Windows profile name instead of Uplay name.

Yes, I just tested it and it shows Teurastaja as my name in Trials now and that's also my Windows profile name, thought that is a name I would like to use in my Uplay account too.
Also a lot of games and programs uses your Windows profile name, especially if your offline.
