Attention, Gold Riders. The Trials Evolution: Gold Edition beta has now concluded.
The second round of Evo Gold’s closed beta ended yesterday. That means that the access to online features of the game was removed and will be returned for the launch. You can still start up the game normally and play it offline, but you won't be able to access global leaderboards, track central, multiplayer and other online features.
We will spend the next week addressing issues, preparing the day one patch, and otherwise getting ready for the launch. As of now, we are on target for the March 21st date, so stay tuned. Thanks for your participation in the beta, and we will be announcing the winners of the Beta track building contest on Monday.
Yay
EDIT: one question though: can we still get gold/platinum medals? and will they be added later when we back online ?
I think it's safe to go for medals. Just know that your times won't go on the leaderboards obviously. The way Uplay worked in other games was progress as normal offline and just synch that progress with the cloud whenever you come back online.
If editor is available, cannot try right now and see for myself, i think if i spend any time on Trials during these days it will be only there. Watch the rest of the tutorials, start building something new etc. I'll wait to play as normal after the release.
Regarding the editor, after the beta 'ended', the tracks I created (including one I'd spent several hours on and hadn't finished yet, I might add) have vanished, so unless you are just messing around, I wouldn't bother getting too involved.Originally Posted by soad667
Yeah, I lost my track too, but it was beta. I learned a lot and it will take me a lot less time to make new tracks and sets. I hope that the tracks come back once the game is released, but I will understand if I have to start over.
That being said… I am so gunna wait to make any new tracks until the game is actually released.
Thank you very much for the fun beta! I can hardly wait until the game is officially out!
If you play offline and beat your scores then they will not be synced to the global leader boards. You must be online to post scores.
I really wasn't expecting that. Aren't those tracks saved locally to your hard drive, as well as the cloud server?Originally Posted by Kazeoku
I know a lot of games will wipe your experience and stuff after the beta. I'm guessing they'll reset the multiplayer rankings, but hopefully not the medal counts or leaderboards.
The leaderboards had serious issues with miscalculations etc. I saw a lot of times and stuff that didn't make sense. Don't know if they somehow can fix this without resetting them. If they can, that would be ideal.
As for the tracks in the editor, just to be safe, i won't bother at all playing the game these 4-5 days.

If you're offline, then the best what you can do in trials is to create tracks!
