They should have just added a bunch of DLC's to Gears 1 instead of making 3 games after that are complete garbage

My opinion will never change. The only one they needed in the series was Gears 1. It will always be the best.

I'll admit that Gears 1 is a fantastic game, but I honestly think part 3 is the best in the series. If you go back and play part 1, you'll realize how far the series has come. Gears 1 was all about the gnasher. The lancer is practically useless. Not to mention, getting into an online match is much more cumbersome and the movement is more clunky and unresponsive.

So it being all about the gnasher was wrong? Because look at judgement. The majority of players use the gnasher as their primary. Thats never going to change no matter how much you change gears of war. Theres nothing better than shooting somebody with a gnasher and watching their body explode. Those 1v1, 1v2, or 1v3 shotty battles where ou come out victorious because your a pro with the gnasher. Its never going to change.

As far as the movement and such, yea gears 3 is better with that. But is that the deciding factor in good gameplay? Because if it is to you then just stop talking now.

Servers in gears 2, 3, and judgment suck. Lag is everywhere. I would much rather connect to a host that i can select so i can get the best connection to mine possible, and although that host is going to be stronger, my connection will be better overall. And who doesnt love to 1v1 the host and kick his ***? If that doesnt bring you satisfaction in gears of war i dont understand what will.

The best part about all of this is that im pretty sure Epic knows that gears 1 was their best one. Every single gears after gears 1, they kept promoting 1. In judgement they gave out a free code to download gears 1. I bet gears 1 had by far the most players online, and im sure people are still playing online on 1 as we speak. Its clear that the favorite is 1. I know it is for me. And no matter how much gears has evolved and people think the newer gears games are better, i would much rather play gears 1.

Don't misunderstand me, I think it's so much fun when you come out of a gnasher battle victorious after wallbouncing and breaking your opponent apart with a well-placed hip shot but Cliffy said himself that Gears was never meant to be a one-gun game. It's a cover-based shooter. The gnasher battles were basically born out of necessity because it was too effective in the first Gears. Fast forward to Gears 3: the rifles are actually useful and work great as suppressing or support fire (which was their original intention). With every gun having its strengths and weaknesses, it really adds new levels of strategy into every fight. Knowing when to use which weapon adds to the game in my opinion, instead of running around the entire map with the gnasher out.

The movement of your character is a huge factor for me because there's nothing more frustrating than getting splattered because my guy can't get his damn back off the wall. Plus in Gears 1, you can't queue up a weapon switch while you're running.

They gave out a code for Gears 1 with Judgement because a lot of players never played the original Gears and Judgement is a prequel, after all.

I must be in the minority about the Gears 3 connection. I've played thousands of matches and can't remember a single instance of unbearable lag. In fact, in 99% of the matches I've played I've noticed no lag at all.

Yeah but in Judgement you spawn with only 1 weapon. Cliffy b's a ******g idiot and doesn't realize that over 80% of the players would rather use a gnasher and have a weak lancer for supporting fire. But in Gow3 and Judgement the rifles RAPE you if you're out of cover for even 2 seconds. It doesn't add strategy, it makes the game COD a camp fest for the "pros" which IMO holding RT and aiming with right analog takes absolutely no skill compared to wall bouncing and connecting 1 shot if not more.

By the way there is a forum on the gears site which showed the amount of users that used a "specific weapon" and the gnasher was 80%+.

The retro and SO, are the worst. Retro is for anti-everyotherweapon noobs and needs to be level capped. Sawed off ruined any bit of skill required the actually hip fire with a shotty.

The lancer- needs to be set back to gears 2s last TU.
HB- same as gears 2.
Gnasher is almost useless in gears judgement and in gears 3, if you aren't a thug at bouncing then you won't get a good kill with the gnasher. In judgement you can run up behind somebody and plant one right in their back and they can turn around and body you.

The truth is, **** face cliffy b didn't realize what he created. And just wanted to get that "cod" fame to make more money.

It's really too bad. But I'll never be buying any game again that has had Epics hand in it. They've done nothing but let their customers down since gears 2.


Oh and the reason the new games keep sucking is because epic listens to their community which is just a bunch of Cod noobs who get raped on Cod and can't it so they found gears and now this is what we've got.

Who knows maybe next TU judgement will have killstreaks.

According to the gears community PCF only did campaign and Epic did MP.

There they encounter Paduk who left the COG with Sofia sometime after the original battle and set up a community in the ruins of Halvo Bay that has both COG and UIR members with no one caring about sides, only survival.
