    Anybody else feel like

The xbox version of Evo is nothing compared to the PC version?

Be more specific, cos, i don't reallly know what you mean.

To me, right now, the 360 version is still the version to play.

You got all the DLC, who knows how long it will take for the PC version to get the DLC, and with that comes not only a ton more tracks, but a ton of stuff for the Editor, thus making the Editor a lot more robust on the Xbox version.

And if the game doesn't get better optimization come release day, it will be a hard sell, because of the unnecessarily high minimum requirements for the game, meaning, everyone with an an average pc, will have a hard time playing it, and this is a game that pretty much requires flawless frame rate.

And then there's the thousands of amazing creations already available on Track Central.

If you get the PC version right now, you'll have to suffer through a lot of the beginner work of the new PC creators.

And if you wanna get serious about leaderboards, you gotta be on the xbox, cos that's where the real competition is, maybe you'll find some great Trials players from the Xbox, setting a few high scores on the PC version, but i don't think you're gonna get any real competition from new people who never played trials on the Xbox.

I don't know, the PC version, might become better than the 360 version at some point.

But today, and for the foreseeable future, it is the version to play.

Neither are perfect mate. PC version has more potential, but whether that's ever met time will tell. It's the community that makes the game and I'll be curious to see how things pan out in terms of customs etc

I was only in the first Beta and due to pre-ordering a retail copy I havent played since, but my experience with that version was less than satisfactory. Will see how things go with the retail release once its ready

Why, because of a few extra costumes?

I'll pre-order the gold edition, but until it gets some DLC and skilled track creators I'll mostly be playing it on the xbox.

One thing Im going to be observing is how mature the PC community may be. Am hoping the audience is different and not purely into low quality ninjas and don't move tracks. Don't know if Im hoping for too much.

It has all the HD maps redone for the new Evo. I just think they put more into the PC game. Which makes sense since Evo on the 360 was kind of a "test subject" to see how everybody likes it etc etc.

Well we had HD and EVO while they had to put up with T2SE. The Pc fan base deserves a little something after being left behind for so long

    Re: Anybody else feel like

The 360 version was certainly not a 'test subject'. I see each new release as a further iteration of the franchise. They have built upon the 360 versions and used that to add more features where possible, based on the available infrastructure and the like.

I really love what they did with the Trials HD tracks in Gold but that would not have made sense on the 360 version (as many players already have that game). I really like the Youtube integration and while it could have more features, it is a great addition.

I agree that the PC version has more potential, but thats only because it is being built now on the back of a successful game. If they announced a PS3/4 version of the franchise (doubt it due to the M$ relationship but for the example, hear me out) this would be better again, because the dev team would have the ability to build upon what they have here and develop and refine that further.

So really, saying one version is better or worse is irrelevant. They are all evolutions of their prior version and should improve with each subsequent instalment.

With mentality like that almost EVERYTHING ever made is a beta. Did Redlynx specifically state that Evo 360 was a "test subject" to the PC version? I highly doubt it

What is the title of your favorite ( I assume) game? Trials Evolution. You expect the PC version not to be better in some aspects? I'd like to think they have at least fixed some of Evo 360's biggest flaws for the PC version. If gold is worse or the same as the 360 version then you may as well call it Trials Devolution
The PC version is likely better, get over it. If it's not I would be deeply disappointed in RedLynx, even though I plan to never even own Gold.
