Is it possible to modify the top speed of the bike?

Is it possible to modify the top speed of a bike?

    1. I know you can edit the power, but that seems to just increase the acceleration but not actually increase top out speed.

    2. Afterburners increase the speed but also affect the bike physics in undesirable ways.

    3. ???? (put your advice here)

    Thanks for any advice.

Any insight for this, even a No would help.

Trying to get my final changes made to my level in for the level competition.

You can, I'm just not sure how. Usually if I don't have a better answer I stay quiet, but this time the answer is not just a "no".

Maybe one of our community editor gurus can help out.

Go into the bike's properties, there should be some engine power options.

I suggest you watch the tutorials, it's all the info you'll need.

    Watched all 37 of them.

I did some distance jump testing with various engine powers, and it seems like upping the engine power increases acceleration and hill climb ability, getting you top power a lot faster, but doesn't actually increase the top out speed.

Regardless thank you both for your replies.

Re: Is it possible to modify the top speed of the bike?

You cannot change the speed of the bike,
    so, I can help you:

Grab an area affector, enabled unchecked and chose the affected object to the bike ONLY under the force settings.
Use a physics joint point to point, disable collision, and joint the bike and area affector together.
Take two state events, one on one off and target it to the area affector.
Take a button trigger Gas (A/RT) and on press AND on hold -->State event on, on release-->State event off.
Grab two state events again, one on, one off targeting the button trigger.
Now, take a hit trigger, target 1: Including Bike, target 2: Excluding rider, that means it will react with any collided object except the rider. Go to advaced triggers in the properties, on active-->State event on, on inactive--> State event off. This is used to prevent enabling the force when the bike is in the air.

    Hope this helps

Awesome thank you. I might have a question about this or 2 when i try it out but I get the jist of what you are saying and how it functions.

hi if its anything like the xbox version, lower the engine braking, that will increase the top speed.

If you go into the bikes settings, and go to its "Engine and Braking" tab, there are option for gas and braking speeds that can both be made to exceed 100%, or lowered for a slow track.
If your having a problem with the bike flipping from high speeds, you can try increasing the bikes mass under advanced physics. That can sometimes prevent the bike from instantly flipping over backwards.
