I don't really agree with OP, but think multiplayer should be somehow tight into singleplayer level. Basically you should only be able to play levels online which you have cleared in singleplayer.
That way you would have some kind of knowledge of the tracks, like I wouldn't want to play some of the extreme tracks online myself, which I haven't been able to finish yet.

Also if you see that your opponent is struggling and is losing to you badly, you can always change to poorer bike in the next race to make racing more fun for both of you.

There's always someone in game betas that complains about people not being any good... in a beta. Makes me smile every time though Not everyone played Trials on the Xbox, or even at all, before Gold Edition. Give it time.

When I play people who struggle to keep up with me, I try to do flips off every little bump I can, to increase the challenge and slow myself down a bit. Do I have to gold all the Extremes to play online, gareth, because I can't do that yet? What? I can't play online anymore? Okay, I'll stay out of your queue.

The multiplayer in this is very relaxed for me. I'm willing to try new things and be more aggressive, because faults don't hurt me (that much) in MP. It's a fun, and stress-free, version of Trials for me. Try to do it as fast as possible (fun), but don't have to worry about faults messing up your leaderboard attempt (fun). So, MP is Fun +2, basically.

This. Quite many people are first timers on Trials Evolution Gold and it'd make it more fair/fun for newcomers. Other than that I don't agree with the OP, it's beta and people are wanting to test out its features before the release.

I don't see any prerequisite to play multiplayer. It will get better once the game is released though.

I don't claim to be good, i am far from it I do at least have gold on all the tracks though. It amazes me how bad the people in multiplayer are, why even bother if you aren't any good at all? if i am beating you you probably need more practice. It's just not fun to go to multiplayer and play against people who get stomped. Having 3 dnfs in half the tracks i play is not fun it's just sad. I am a competitive guy and would much prefer people who can beat me or at least give me a run for my money. Please community practice at least a little bit before you go to multiplayer, that's all i ask. At least be able to finish tracks in a timely manner.

You want a challenge?

Go Platinum all the tracks, you want to play with ppl on your level or better than you, go on the leaderboard and add ppl above you.

You wanna get you *** kicked, get an Xbox, and play Hardcore multiplayer.

Pretty sure most guys will destroy you, and you know why, cos the game as been out for almost a year.

The PC version isn't even officially out, of course most ppl are gonna be bad at it, give it another go a month from now, and you'll have your wish...

Have you ever considered that, maybe they're playing multiplayer... To have fun?!

Just be more patient, dude. Some people want to try the mp, without having the patience to get better at the game first. As time passes and considering supercross maps are easy in general, people will get a lot better, even by just playing multi.

Btw, if i see someone dnf, on the next race i'm waiting near the finish line a couple of seconds so he can finish. That is, if we're only two. 3 or more, chances are someone will be competitive enough so you can't just wait.

Same here, and to tell you the truth, i never play supercross for real, i always go with the Donkey, cos to me, supercross is all about having fun, not winning.

I gotta say thought, it is very satisfying to pull out a win with the Donkey, against ppl with the Scorpion and the Phoenix.

i get your point mate, but that's how it is. MP is "freestyle", a lot of ppl might have gold on the most of the tracks, but with more then 1 try i guess, 1 try is what you have in MP
have you set up the MP search? you can select that only ppl with same skill-level join, but idk how good that works

you can add me if you like to, with my gold account i would have some races with you, be sure it won't be too easy
