how do you disable the intro? | Forums

Greetings.

I always listen to my own music when playing Trials, so I was wondering, how do you disable the obnoxious intro?

For starters, it's not even the right resolution - I'm assuming it's just ripped XBLA one- anyway, there's always the rap song (which i admit was cool the FIRST time I heard it), then the rap song ends and you have the "press Enter" screen.
On that screen a very uber super really annoying song plays, so it's always a race to click the enter before your head explodes - note that I have music in game turned off compleatly and that song STILL PLAYS.

Not even mad...

Seriously though, is there any way to skip the intro and disable the start up song?

Yeah unfortunately there doesn't seem to be a video file in the game folder.
Would be easy to just use an empty file with the same name instead, causing the game to skip the intro (which works for a lot of game-intros or loading screens even).

It's most likely buried in one of the .pak files.

I want to do this too. Yes it's nice to display the game dev/publisher and have the intro music but I'm pretty familiar with it by now thanks to Evo on my xbox. It's also annoying that it runs in a much lower resolution, making it look even worse than it does on Xbox.

I reckon that you're correct Wake, it's probably buried in one of the pak files. I wouldn't know how to hunt within those files though, and who knows if it would run even if you did find the intro and delete it.

Yeah, I was looking for the video file before I made the post and I couldn't find it

Also, I like hearing the bike sounds (vaguely) but not the actual music, hence I don't wanna turn the sound off compleatly

Push the mute button. That's the only way.

remove or rename these two files (i usually add ".bak" at the end of e'm).

It will disable ALL music in the game, but it's worth it. The rap song made me not want to play the game at all anymore. IT'S THE MOST ANNOYING THING IN ALL OF EVER!!

the funny thing about the intro music is that it is not configurable with the ingame sound which comes later. there should be a general skip for the whole intro and not just the music. no one likes muting their speakers every time when they start a game

What i don't like about the intro is how it appears to exit the game and re-enter, before it asks you to press Enter. Acts like changing resolution or something, except it doesn't. I know, i couldn't describe it better.
