    Looking for ideas for themes

    Greetings.

I'm looking for some theme ideas for a track, for some strange reason I'm really struggling to come up with something half-decent.

Can anyone suggest a theme they would maybe like to see?

I would suggest looking at the videos on these Youtube Channels to see the great stuff people have made on Xbox:

I don't want to straight up copy something someone already did, if you know what I mean

Personally, I just take inspiration from things I like. I'm working on a recreation of the final level of dishonored (Kingsparrow fort) just because I liked that game and managed to get the environment and filter settings to look like the game.

On a more general level I often take inspiration from using Cryengine 3, which resulted in me making a track with a focus on larger terrain and denser detail, and I just made decisions as the scene was being formed. I wouldn't say you need a concrete theme to start with

(not intentionally trying to advertise my track )

Alot of ideas come from copying, however if someone does a warehouse and you do, i wouldn't really say it's copying, just give something a tiny bit of your twist, thats all ya need.

Wow. That track actually looks really interesting - I'm assuming it's more of a "relax and enjoy what I made" track, rather than "bash your face against these obstacles for next 30 minutes".

Thanks for the ideas guys, I'll try to come up with something lol...

I can understand that, but look at some of those excellent tracks for inspiration. Also, look at how people create driving lines and decoration and try to learn from people that have had 3.5 years of experience.

its so hard to come up with an absolute original idea that hits you in the face as soon as you start to play...i think most of them moments have past.. my advice is, what ever you do, make sure you do it cos you enjoy it..just have fun in the editor..you never know what you might build....
