Game running but not showing up??

Ok, after all the problems ive had with pre-ordering from Uplay and it not installing for me, i decided to throw up another 20$ and pre-ordered from Steam.

Downloaded the game and it installed just fine, activated and everything is all set up.

However, when i click on Play Game, it would say Game Running...but nothing launches? No other window opens up.

Ive restarted so many times and the problem still persists. Even looking on my Steam account, it said ive played Gold Edition for 70 minutes.....im just wondering where in the hell do i get it to show up so i can play it?

Ive also update the game's cache and it was successful so it was not a bad download.

Ok, in your DxDiag it shows that you are using Intel G31/G33 integrated Graphics with 256MB RAM and drivers from 2009 (have you tried updating them?)

Trials Evolution: Gold Edition requires 512MB of video RAM, recommended is 1024MB, and the following video cards are supported:

    *SUPPORTED VIDEO CARDS AT TIME OF RELEASE: AMD[REGISTERED SIGN] Radeon HD 3870 / 4000 / 5000 / 6000 / 7000 series or better NVidia[REGISTERED SIGN]: GeForce 8800 GT / 9 / 100 / 200 / 300 / 400 / 500 / 600 series or better. Laptop models of these cards may work but are not supported.

So basically id need to upgrade my video card?

Would i still have to update the drivers from 2009 or can i just replace what i have? Is the video RAM thingy same as video card? Sorry im not an expert when it comes to the hardware part.

Upgrading to a new video card is what I would do, if you are running Win 7 think you are) those 2009 drivers are the latest Intel has released.

If you upgraded to a newer videocard, then you would not need to update the integrated video drivers, as you wouldn't be using them.

Video RAM is usually built into standalone video cards, but it is not built into integrated video. Right now, your PC is sharing the RAM for everything.

This is the card I am running at work (GTX 560 TI), it's not the best, but I can run most games with fairly high settings without bogging down, and it's on the less expensive side for video cards.

This is the card I ordered for my home rig (ATI 7870). It's a bit more expensive, but if you factor in the two games at $120, it works out to be less than the "cheaper" card.

How can i know if those vid cards are compatible with my system? I definitely will be getting one of those, just need to be sure first.

Thanks for the responses Shifty, much appreciated.

Give me a little bit and I can see if they will work with your listed motherboard.

    RESPECT!

Are you employed by redlynx? If so: This is the first time i see a supporter/employe to help a customer buy the correct GPU for his system o.O

    great thing!

Ok, it *looks* like the 560 TI would be the way to go with your HP Pavilion Desktop. It's a lower cost solution than the ATI 7870, and it was designed for PCIe 2.0 (the ATI is PCIe 3.0 native, but would work on 2.0 systems).

It also looks like (from your DxDiag) you have a few PCIe slots that aren't being used. So you should be good there as well.

Would it be possible for you to yank off the side panel on the PC and try to get a picture of the motherboard? (it will be the largest board in the system and everything else attaches to it by either plugging in with wires, or directly attached).

Yes, I am a RedLynx employee, but I can't be sure that this card will work, or that this is the best card for his current system.

Luckily for you Shifty, i happen to know what a motherboard is. Here are the 3 images i took, hope that helps with what you are looking for. The 4 Ram modules consist of 2gb each- my PC can only run up to 8gb of RAM usage, or so from what ive undestand from researching a little online.
