DX9 isn't supported. That "tip" was from a standard support sheet.

    Re: directx question

    OOk, some facts:

    A) Redlynx tells us that the game doesnt support DirectX 9
    B) Some guy (Tzahrkiya) in the forum tells us to ad "-dx9" as a parameter to run it in DirectX9 mode
    - the game doesnt crash if you do so
    - you see no difference if you do so (optic)
    - i have no change in performence if i du so
-> we doent know if the game even accepts this parameter or simply ignores it
    C) Still this is a Xbox 360 port... and the console only can handel DirectX 9. So why such a big upgrade that it now should support Dx9? Normaly a GOOD port makes a game able to also use Dx 10, but doesnt leaves it withou the abillity to use Dx9

    done ^^

I did recently update the other thread with the recent anouncement that gold does not support dx9...

Although i have to say that forcing the game to run with the dx9 parameter, removed all jittery graphics at busy key points in tracks, my machine is more than above the req...

The other thing I said was that you could then just add the -dx10 parameter to keep in line with what the game is meant to support tho I have not tried it with dx10 myself..

Tho on a personal note for what dx11 brings to the table imo gold isnt making use of the hardware support ie tessellation... I would like to see an advanced graphics options built into the game with control over AA, Anositropic filtering, tessellation, particles etc etc etc..

imo every aspect of graphics that are generated should be under direct control of the player..

    Game doesn't have DX9 support.
X360 is not running on standard DX9, its modified version which is closer to DX10. Game is using advanced features which means that the minimum DX level is 10.0 on PC hardware.
