Hey Guys,

In the video performance support thread one of the things to try to increase performance is to boot the game in direct x 9 mode instead of 11... Any idea on how to do that.

yeah I would also like to know this for testing various effects of sweetfx with gold,, anyone know????

if your running thru steam you can right click and select properties of trials gold,, go to launch options and add -dx9 to the command line,, this will run it in dx9 for steam users anyway

does it also work when i add it as non steam game or?

no you dont have the ability to set launch parameters when its just a shortcut through steam..

what you can probably do is create a desktop shortcut to the gold exe ,, right click the shortcut and select properties..

in the target line it`ll read sumthin like this..

I:\SteamLibrary1\SteamApps\common\TrialsPC\datapac k\trialsFMX.exe

add the parameter so it looks like this,, note the space between exe and -dx9

I:\SteamLibrary1\SteamApps\common\TrialsPC\datapac k\trialsFMX.exe -dx9

that then should launch the game in dx9 i think..

edit** just a note that it said trials doesnt support dx9,, so I would add -dx10 instead of -dx9
