Doesn't look like it, no mention of TEGE in Nvidia GeForce 320.00 Beta:

*edit1* Never mind, just wasn't mentioned in the notes.
*edit125* I spoke too soon, there is a profile but still no SLI support it seems.
0x00000004-compatibility bits seem to deactivate SLI, which is one way around the game's issues with performance and not starting for some players when using SLI.

I may be able to see some improvement but nothing as dramatic as mentioned on the patch. Bad levels are still not really playable, it's like playing in slow motion with half the frames.
    I'm running a GeForce GTX 560 Ti and Intel Q6600, 4gb ram. Windows 7 64bit.
We have a similar test setup here in office (Core 2 Quad + GTX 560), and it runs the game smoothly. Some additional questions:
    - Do you play in full screen or windowed mode?
    - Do you have vsynch / wait for vertical retrace enabled (also from your Nvidia control panel)?
    - Do you have Windows Aero desktop enabled?
    - Do you have any background software active (some instant messaging softwares, Incredibuild, background downloads, etc can cause stuttering)?
    - Have you tried to run the game on higher resolutions (for example in 1920x1080)? Is the performance identical to 720p, or is it even worse? You GPU should be able to handle higher resolutions without a problem.
    - Could you list some tracks where you have performance problems? Do these problems occur only when you play these tracks the first time, or also after restarting the track?

We have received several reports from users that the performance has improved noticeably, and the game runs much better now. It's hard to say what is the problem with your setup. The GPU shouldn't be a bottleneck. It should be able to run the game smoothly at 1920x1080 (according to our testing). The CPU clock/model is under our minimum recommendations, however it's a quad core model (so it should be fast enough). However we don't have exactly that CPU model in our test bench, so I cannot confirm that. It could also be a software/driver/configuration issue.
I have similar problems running on Windows 7 x64 with a Radeon HD 6950 2GB, 8 GB DDR3 and a AMD Phenom II X6 1100T. The game is installed on a Samsung SSD 830 Series (256gb).

My Graphics drivers are the latest Catalyst 13.3 Beta 3. Everything is up-to-date.

Friends with lower specs run the game without a hitch.

I have stutter problems (which of-course are the frame-skipping when dipping below 60fps) on maps such as "Dark City Run" (Crash County/Flatliner) or the custom map called "Super Mario World #1" which demonstrates the performance issue on my system very well, both are maps that run well on my friends PC's.

My catalyst-center settings are at default. My Trials settings are set to maximum, vsync is enabled but windowed mode is disabled. Changing the settings does not result in the issue going away. That includes changing the resolution to 640x480.

I have Windows Aero Desktop enabled. Have no programs or anti-virus enabled. No task causes any additional memory or cpu utilization, nor GPU utilization.

Also these problems do not go away or change when restarting the track, the game or even the PC.

    Re: [Bug Reports] Video Performance

NVIDIA released the v320.00 beta driver today but, big surprise, this game still runs appallingly even though there is a profile for the game included, which forces Single GPU mode.

I'd be interested to hear if this driver fixes the performance for other people with SLI because it doesn't work for me at all. I still have to force SFR rendering to get even acceptable performance.

and makes little or no difference for me.

    me, too.

    Re: [Bug Reports] Video Performance

Hi again, I've done further testing after your response.

    I'm running a GeForce GTX 560 Ti and Intel Q6600, 4gb ram. Windows 7 64bit.[/quote]
    Disabled antivirus (Avast)
All settings on low apart from shadows - (also tried with shadows on low and it makes not difference)
Vsnyc on (on nvidia panel and in game)
Nvidia preferences all on prefferred performance settings or off
Same performance levels on 720x480 resolution and 1920x1200

When escaping to the menu on a slow level the menu animation also seems to have a low frame rate when moving up and down between the options

    Slow performance tracks:
Warehouse 28 - slow then smooth (on and off) throughout level - maybe something in the background?
    Storm Drain
Scrapyard - end 10% seems ok
    Groundhog Asylum
Bridge of trials frist half is slow - second half runs fine
    Meltdown
    Dark City Run
    Dockside
Power plant is ok apart from 1/3 of the way through - large scenes probably causing it
    Tree hugger
Gigatrack runs well apart from under the trees just before you jump the rail line and when you have the oil plant in the background
    Sewage plant
    Strike
    Oil rig run
    Prospector
    Physics factory

Tracks that run ok and seem to have similar complexity to the ones that dont:
    Castle crash
    Swamp fever
    under construction
    Dammed

    Hope that helps.
    Cheers
