I too am experiencing much slower performance than other games. Even Crysis 2 runs smoother. I'm running a GeForce GTX 560 Ti and Intel Q6600, 4gb ram. Windows 7 64bit.
Look forward to a patch as I really enjoyed the Trials SE2...
Hi, I'm having the following performance issues:
Games has lots of frame skipping, the more stuff on screen the worse.
Texture pop in also happens on some stages.
The overall quality is bad too, specially in the player shadows.
All this happens more on the outside levels than in the warehouse levels.
My specs:
Windows 7 x64
AMD Phenom II X4 955
ATI Radeon HD 5850
4GB RAM memory
Hope you fix this soon.
Registered just to add my 10p to this pile - I've got a ticket open on this with UPlay too but I don't really expect a meaningful reply from them've basically said if they can't fix it, I expect a refund tho!)
AMD 245 (Dual Core 2.9Ghz), 4 GB RAM, 5670 (512Mb GDDR5) Windows 7 64bit Desktop Res 1920x1080
Biggest issue is choppy framerate - it runs at 60fps about 75% of the time but certain places/events cause this to drop sharply - perhaps even into the 20s and 30s - and the game becomes like riding in treacle.
As someone else said, the newer outdoor levels are worse than the Warehouse ones, but it happens in both to some extent.
I've tested the game on a wide range of settings - but even on min settings at 1280x720 (the resolution I suspect the game is upscaling from - lazy lazy!) you still get fps drops in the worst places. I find it hard to believe that any degree of testing didn't spot this...
Worse still, I suspect these drops affect your score/times because levels I couldn't beat on higher graphical settings got easier as I scaled-back and got better framerates (e.g. the clock isn't locked to the framerate!?) - that means the game is MUCH harder for some people than others!?!?
Texture loading problems are limited to level starting areas for me - nowhere near as bad as some people's screenshots suggest their issues are but still quite nasty.
p.s. could we PLEASE have a shadows OFF option, it's likely shadows are part of the problem and shadows on Low are ugly-as-hell anyway so we may as well just lose them.
im having the same problems, every track is laggy, certain tracks like inferno 3 & damned are completley unplayable.
im playing with all settings in the trials video menu turned to low or off.
Resolution: 1280x720
i have the latest nvidia driver installed and have 3d settings tweaked towards performance.
intel core i3 3.20Ghz windows 7
RAM 5 GB
NVIDIA GeForce 315
i think my sytem is "may" not be good enough though to run trials smoothly as it is only slightly above the
minimal system requirements.
Maybe someone can clarify this for me, so i dont get my hopes up to much for this upcoming patch and just gotta face reality that my PC cannot run this game properly..
i know theres many people out there with great setups that are having lag issues as well, so thats why im wondering if maybe the problem is not on my end after all.
My game is very laggy too. I don't have the latest hardware but I can play Battlefield 3 smoothly but not Trials so I think something is wrong with the game. My specs:
Intel core 2 quad Q8200
ATI Radeon HD 4870 1gig
4 gig ram
Windows 7, 64bit
The performance fix I told you earlier seems to be working very well. Some computers that did lag badly before the fix are now running the game smoothly. The new patch will also have some extra graphics settings for low end GPUs.
Also if you are running the game on windowed mode: Please enable Windows Aero desktop. It will make the game run much much smoother on windowed mode. For best smoothness we recommend running the game on full screen mode.
Sounds great. Any info about a release date for that fix?Originally Posted by sebbbi
If this game is not fixed soon, i'm going to start asking for a refund.
Sort it out!

So your fix coupled with the next driver should give us some nice FPS boost. A good thing, it's really frustrating to fault because the game decides to stutter.Originally Posted by sebbbi
