This is embarrassing; so embarrassing that I had to create an account to make this thread. Ubi-China/RedLynx should be ashamed of their work... these problems were in the closed beta, now they're in this "beta" still. Let's call it like it is; this is an early access release for a pre-order bonus, this is not a beta test!
My PC is more than powerful enough to handle this game, and yes I've tried the tweaks and window-mode etc etc... I shouldn't have to tweak anything as that's the reason I pay for games, to compensate others to make the games for me.
In a game that's based on timing and instant response, this unplayable lag and FPS drop is a game killer. For no reason should this have been put up for sale... any other industry in the world would be forced out of business or sued for charging for this kind of trash. The video game digital distribution world gets immunity from that though 'licensing'.
I know not everyone has this issue, but it's RedLynx and Ubi-Chinas job to play test and correct these issues on different systems. Inevitable Ubi-fanboys: keep your Ubi defense to yourself. They charged... I paid... no game. End of story.
I tried to upload a video to youtube to show everyone how bad it is (but that doesn't work either!)... even tried to manually put it on there only to find the video render is frozen sound.
Sorry for the hate... but it's deserved.
That's too bad. Hopefully they can get things fixed up for everyone so that you can enjoy the game like I am.
I'm confused, you're mad because your computer is ****? Is that what you're getting at?
Welcome to the forums btw.![]()
You aren't being nice, just curious, I am having problems too, I have a ****ty i7 @3Ghz with 16Gb DDR3 and GeForce 560, I guess I should run upgrade my machine?Originally Posted by ShartRelief
The problem is that the game is still on BETA. People who know something about coding a game/program knows that performance-tweaking comes at the end of development. So we're being used as testers in BETA and quality of performance should improve fast.

I am running a GTX 580, has anyone else with an NVIDIA GPU had these issues?
I get lag in the very beginning of every track but after the first crash the lag goes away.. its the strangest thing.. good thing its only at the beginning and goes away until the next tracks beginning.
I have a GTX 650 on drivers 306.97. At first I was running on whatever the default settings are, and noticed a bit of lag on some maps (big open ones with lots of scenery), especially for the first 10 seconds or so, after which it settled. Either way I lowered some settings and it runs smoothly.Originally Posted by page305
It's definitely not what I'd call unplayable, though.
My rig is more than enough to run everything that comes at it, yet I have to deactivate the shadows and advanced effects otherwise I'm running at 15fps. Let's face it, the lowest shadows look really bad. I'd rather have the options to turn them off completely than have them as they stand. The game seems nicer to the eye though, despite several options being ticked off.
