Re: early or late timesaver placement?

on easy to medium tracks timesavers make the track more interesting when you put them/it late on the track, on hard or extreme in the middle^^

early timesavers make the track less hard, it's then just about passing the ts or press B, once you got it the rest should be no problem

Re: early or late timesaver placement?

On beginner-medium tracks, timesavers would be better at the start because if you didn't do the timesaver, you can just restart it earlier instead you did it wrong on the end and redo all the obstacles, so you are doing less faults on.

On hard-extreme, the hard part should be first because you crash more often and you don't need to speed run to get platinum.

So, I choose nothing of the options.

To be honest I prefer the late placement, cause if it´s on the first obstacle, then i will run all the track with extra happiness and it isn´t good to focus o the ride... But if the track have a high replayability value it doesn't matter where are placed the timesavers...

Re: early or late timesaver placement?

I personally like to have a big timesaver at the beginning so if you dont make it you can press b til you do. Ofcourse the track has to have little time savers throughout the rest of the track to make things interesting. Then at the finish i like a medium timesaver. I think having a big timesaver at the end can get frustrating, having to do the whole track again cos you flopped the end.

I think this pretty much sums it up for me. There are ups and downs no matter where the timesaver is. A good mix all over the place on a variety of tracks is best.

Kind of like the different styles of tracks, technical, flowy, uphill...just because one style pisses you off, that doesnt necessarily mean theres a problem with it.

I feel almost exactly the opposite, even if i really dislike the ending on that track too. Having to hit B 514362727 times before i can have a chance to improve my time can get on my nerves pretty easily.
I don't understand this. If the timesaver is of equal difficulty, then it will take the same amount of tries. The only difference is that you have to go through the entire track before hitting the difficult timesaver.
I like the late placement because i can practie on the whole track and once i get the hard timesaver the track ends. And i think it can add replayability to track when done right.
I'm not a big fan of faulting on a simple jump after i do the really hard timesaver, like i did on titan graveyard, i cleared the huge gap once but faulted near the end.
