Which 360 controller should I get?
I don't own one for PC, so I don't want to buy a "flawed" one. Should it be wired or wireless?

Re: Which 360 controller should I get?
I bought a wired black Xbox 360 controller for my PC, works flawlessly. I don't have experience with wireless Xbox 360 controllers for PC though.
Highly recommended if you use a pad every now and then on PC titles.

If you want to use the d-pad, make sure to buy the silver version with the adjustable d-pad.

It all depends, wired will work fine out of the box with drivers, for wireless it requires the wireless receiver for PC (costs around 15$) which lets you connect up to 4 wireless controllers.
Here's the best price you are probably going to find, with free shipping if you are OK with the wait, as shipping from China can be longer but prices are ridiculous:
Wireless controller 26$
Wireless receiver 11$
Wired controller 16$

my logic is if you get a receiver your going to use Ur current old xbox controller . but if you buy a wired controller ( new d pad one ) you have a new fresh controller you can use on both systems say if your battery's run out .i was going to get the wireless thing but . but im on a laptop and i just thought i would be hassle plugging the thing in every time and there's chance of loosing it .as its very small.

I've had my wired for years and haven't had a single problem. They'd amazing and work out of the box with many, many games. Great for emulation too.

Wired generally. Slight better response time, no battery issues and if you need to, you can run a USB extension wire.
Wireless; if you plan on playing multiplayer and already have several wireless controllers. Make sure to buy the official receiver though - there are issues with the knock off one (says XBox 360 instead of Microsoft) and the drivers sometimes don't work out of the box.

Go for the wired one. No need to use battery + you don't get much delay. Also if you have a windows PC, you can download a program ( from ms ) that let's you use a wired controller with nothing else needed.

Re: Which 360 controller should I get?
Thanks for the input guys. Yeah, I sometimes use my PS3 controller but I thought I might as well grab a 360 one to avoid future hassle. (Though I actually manage to control the Dolphin emulator + Skyward Sword with mouse and keyboard, however with a 360 it might be slightly better)
I will probably go for a wired one. For now I can only see myself using it for Super Meat Boy as well, but I don't mind, perhaps I'll find other uses.
And I believe it'll feel better for Trials especially.

I'd say the wired one aswell, but if you have a ps3 controller you can also hook that one up and use that, it's pretty much the same, if you're used to play a lot of games with a controller
just go download Motionjoy and Xpadder, then you can hook any controller up and set the controller up as you want it
