    Making vehicles...

How do you track creators make vehicles like tractors, trucks etc? Do you just use random objects, or is it some objects in particular that is the most useful to make vehicles?

All depends on what vehicle you're making and the theme you're after, try out different stuff and just see what happens.
If I was making a tractor, i may want it to seem a bit old and rusty so i may use the rusty looking pipes to make it, and maybe some of the car parts as they are a bit battered and rusty too, but if i wanted a nice new looking truck or something then maybe primes would be a better choice.

I start with a frame made out of small pipes, then add panels & such as I go along. Depending on how big or small your car is, you could use pipes, bricks, wood, or anything that can be colored. I made a really small car out of blue-covered hay bails and some silver square thing I found under 'Small Parts' .

If I try and make a vehicle it usually comes out looking like crap. It's just too hard to make a realistic custom vehicle. I wish redlynx would have given us a larger variety of vehicles. A truck and bigger type of vehicle would be nice. One good thing to keep in mind is try and make the vehicle make sense. Don't give it too big of tires if you can help it, and make it proportional to everything else. I made tires out of black bricks one time, it actually looked good. One way I make a lot of stuff is by looking at a lot of pictures on google images. I look at those and then use objects that look similar. Think outside of the box sometimes, you wouldn't believe what's possible.
