    Set rotation

In the Object Position Event, if you uncheck local rotation an additional option pops up called "set rotation". I still don't know what this does, I only know that if I don't check the box, whatever I'm rotating doesn't work properly, so I always check it.

Can someone please explain what this is for?

    Re: Set rotation

to be honest im not 100% sure, i think if you use object info you need to use this, i believe it rotates around the global axis so X/Y/Z and without this option set it rotates on yaw/pitch/bank.

That makes me feel better, at least I'm not the only one

Haha I do the exact same thing. The description they give for it makes absolutely no sense.

    Re: Set rotation

As far as I can work out (without any testing), without it checked any number in the OPE will be added to the rotation of the object, so if its at 30 degrees and you go from 0 to 70 in your OPE with a curve the object will move from its position of 30 degrees round to 100 degrees, whereas if you check the box, the value you enter will be set as the objects rotation, so the same object at 30 degrees will jump to 0 degrees at the start and then rotate around to 70 degrees.

    Re: Set rotation

    I think lukeyy19's right.

When the rotation isn't set, then it adds on it's current global rotation, when checked it sets to the global value you desired. Just think about the set value event and you get the point.

    That makes sense, thanks Lukeyy19.

    Re: Set rotation

So then with Set Rotation unchecked, we don't need to use Set Value:Increase if rotating by the same degree increments?
Set Value:Increase 1 > Variable > OPE with Set Rotation
    vs
Variable default = 1 > OPE without Set Rotation

i haven't tested this myself but i think its more like when the number changes it will add the angle

so if you change from 45 to 90,
set will rotate it 45 and in the other case it will rotate 90

but i haven't tested this nor do i really know
